you could learn from the old guy that made a how to fix a rotten sill video he teaches you how to actually make a video without all the B.S. like your adding and it was done under 2 min 😉 btw folks you can use epoxy as well 😉

  2. Arby Rbalos on February 24, 2022 at 10:53 pm

why not just replace that section? much quicker

  3. Jessica Maskiell on February 24, 2022 at 10:53 pm

Awesome 👍 thanks for showing us this work on your house.

  4. Stephanie Richard on February 24, 2022 at 10:54 pm

Can you stain this product vs. prime and paint?

    Wow

  7. Larry Oatka on February 24, 2022 at 10:58 pm

    I like it.
It just seems a more appropriate solution than the standby BONDO.
The epoxy healer has a lot to do with that.

Dude , what’s going on with your house ?? Too much neglect to begin with !

  9. fisheyes 27 on February 24, 2022 at 11:02 pm

In my opinion that’s just putting a bandaid on it won’t last that long looks good but best is to change the wood for longer lasting

  10. Rose Satori on February 24, 2022 at 11:03 pm

    Bondo is far less expensive.

  11. Jorge O on February 24, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Just what I was looking for! Thanks. Looks like a great product , no surprise that it has great ratings.

  12. Nick C on February 24, 2022 at 11:07 pm

Incredible video!!! Thank you for teaching me new stuff!! My question would be, how do you dry the wood that is outside like this, and when do you know it is dry, because on the video it still look dark and wet

  13. Person Person on February 24, 2022 at 11:09 pm

This looks awesome, but dang that price tag is crazy high, yeah maybe more convenient than replacing wood but at almost 40x the cost? Hoping it’s just a third party selling trying to price gouge and it’ll come down to a more realistic price later. Otherwise comparable wood epoxy products are like 1/10th the cost.

You could use a handheld belt sander and 60 or 80 grit and sand with the grain and get a much better match between the original cedar texture and the filler. Using a rotary sander or orbital sander is for ELIMINATING details in the surface. Never gonna match up that way.

    Lmao, laughed and learned

Great information , u did a very good job on this video, but u might add this Comment, If u have "Wood Pecker" holes, in your siding, there could be Wood Pecker Fledglings inside those holes !! A person should wait way past Spring, check to make sure there is nothing living inside or nests, before attempting to fill in those holes !!
    I believe "WOOD PECKERS" r a Protected Species !!

  17. Nir Navon on February 24, 2022 at 11:12 pm

How strong is that material? will is strenghten old rooted wood in a way you can use it for years to come?

  18. Carmen Long on February 24, 2022 at 11:12 pm

    nice job

  19. Jón Steinar on February 24, 2022 at 11:12 pm

You will find out soon enough that the rot will be back with a vengeance. You are closing in water in the wood and applying a material that has a totally different elasticity, inviting cranking and rotting. Easiest and most sensible method is replacing this part of the wood with new wood. In this case it actually would have been much cleaner and quicker. A little chiselling and sawing.

  20. DRightOne B on February 24, 2022 at 11:16 pm

Good idea. Very quick to get to the fix. Entertaining as well.

id personally just replace the wood batten myself. easy job. MUCH better long term fix. Get yourself a drill and a circular saw and your set.

  24. N Silva on February 24, 2022 at 11:18 pm

ABATRON kit is way too expensive.

  25. Albert Monson on February 24, 2022 at 11:18 pm

at 5 min its also so much work and expense you could have just replace the board and been done w it.

  26. Dylan Stevens on February 24, 2022 at 11:19 pm

Dude this video was solid! Holy crap you make it look so easy and shoot you make my job a whole lot easier! I was thinkin of prying some boards down and all kinds of stuff but this seems to be a good fix!

  27. KB MILLER on February 24, 2022 at 11:21 pm

if something is that big and there is a hole quit being so lazy and replace the board sheesh

  28. Laurie MacQuanan on February 24, 2022 at 11:26 pm

at 10:30 you are trying to repair furniture right? I am no expert. I am a homeowner…and it’s better than any alternative bc I have a million tools (but I mostly use the couch tool). Thank you for the video. Thumbs up and subscribe!

  33. mrpjr419 on February 24, 2022 at 11:35 pm

Don’t you think it would’ve been better if you would’ve put a piece of wood inside for more support?

  34. Lydia Hubbell on February 24, 2022 at 11:35 pm

    80 grit to 120..

  35. L F on February 24, 2022 at 11:35 pm

Can yo use it to repair under a toilet where some wood has rotted but not going through the whole floor?

  36. another mother on February 24, 2022 at 11:36 pm

    Most annoying voice.

  37. ncooty on February 24, 2022 at 11:38 pm

If you fill a hole like that with J B Weld, the house will never fall down.

  38. Sandra Valencia on February 24, 2022 at 11:38 pm

What a great video and such a good explanation. 👍Thank you.🙂

  39. Urbano Garza on February 24, 2022 at 11:38 pm

I would have just replaced the boards, cheaper, that kits is about 140 dollars, just saying

  40. Talli Sman on February 24, 2022 at 11:40 pm

It rotted in the first place because of poor ventilation…

I live in Florida and this spring pileated woodpeckers attacked my siding. Might try this rather than an expensive contractor solution.

With my limited carpentry skill n budget, ur vid gave me an idea how I can repair it. Will try ur tips. Previously bought Albatron supplies. Kudos for ur vid. New subscriber because of this vid. Looking forward to ur next vid.

How did you get rid of the rot? Did you treat it with something to stop it?
