Thanks so much for a great tutorial on jigsaws.
I use drills all the time & I’ve used a circular saw which was intimidating but I did get the job done.
After looking at your video I feel confidant that the jigsaw is a tool that I will definitely use a lot.

4 years later and this video is still relevant to my need of learning to use a jig saw. I had no idea there were so many blades. Especially a scroll saw blade, now that’s a game changer. Thank you 🙏

This is just the demo I needed! Wonderful for a beginner like me! One question: what is the maximum thickness of the wood you can cut with a jigsaw?

  26. Danny Peltier on February 14, 2022 at 11:07 pm

    A really slow pace video………

  27. Pat Williams on February 14, 2022 at 11:09 pm

Wow! all questions answered Lovely Lady, that was just brilliant. Just ordered my combi pack of Ryobi today. Hoping you & your family are all doing well. 🤗

  28. marilyn lewis on February 14, 2022 at 11:11 pm

You rock! You have a great on-camera presence! Great teaching skills! How about a demo on the Ryobi rotary tool, a.k.a. dremel or dremeler. I think it’s a PRT100B. I bought it as a finishing sander but it does so much more! Mysterious!

  29. Nu Dia on February 14, 2022 at 11:11 pm

Thanks for sharing your skill, currently thinking about being more hands on. You;re defintely giving me the confidence! Blessings!

  30. Jeff Wang on February 14, 2022 at 11:11 pm

    Thanks for your informative video!

  31. spybotist on February 14, 2022 at 11:13 pm

Ryobi is alright, their jigsaw is harder on the hands than 6amp jigsaws, too much vibration and more likely to kick back.

  32. Rachel Adkins on February 14, 2022 at 11:15 pm

Get a saw to cut! Why is it so difficult? Why is everything “awesome” in America ?

I brought the same exact jigsaw as you have about 9 months ago and it was still in the box until I just watched this video. Tomorrow I am ready to go. I also brought a circular saw and a miter saw at the same time and have yet to use those but you are giving me confidence to get started. Thank you.

  40. Jenny on February 14, 2022 at 11:23 pm

    your video is ”IMPRESSIVE”

  41. Kodi on February 14, 2022 at 11:24 pm

I have a problem with the jigsaw from Ryobi. When I’m ready to cut the wood, I first let the blade run, I steer the machine to the wood and then everything starts to jump, both the jigsaw and the table, even though I’m in the right setting, full speed, blade for wood. It just starts to jump and eventually locks in place. I just tried it for the third time but no luck.. I thought maybe there would be something about it in this tutorial but unfortunately not. Any ideas?

  42. Christine Colton on February 14, 2022 at 11:24 pm

What model jigsaw do you have?

  43. Yvette Donato on February 14, 2022 at 11:25 pm

This video is the best in You Tube , your instructions is so comprehensive, and details information we need for beginners like my self. I have been upset because I did not want to use Angle Grinder so I had no idea what tool there is I thought the only tool is a hand saw but is manual is so hard on my hand and difficult to work with. I have metal ,plastic, and wood to cut and I am a female and small build so I don’t have much strength to use dangerous tools like angle grinder , I think tools have been made for men . Some are heavy and bulky. I have been upset because I thought there is no a tool like the Jigsaw could do the jobs DYI . I am so grateful for your video and your wonderful demonstration , you certainly have covered everything there is to know for a beginner . Thank you so much, and I am so grateful for your video. I am now feel the Jig saw tool is exactly what I need I feel confident to use it because of your video , I have seen other video and they are below basic. Yours is the very best video . The other best thing about it , I am a female and finding a video that is being demonstrated by another female makes it just fabulous and make such a difference in gaining confidence to use it . Your are wonderful , and you appear you genuinely care for the viewers and being engage with us to ensure we understand how to use a Jig Saw and with confidence .

Very well done video. I’ve been a carpenter for 35 years and felt the video was very well done, very informative. It left me with almost nothing to add, and was well worth the time. Anyone with a jigsaw should watch this video.
