Who is Mary David that Jess mentions?
Great content! 👍
Daddy G is back
I want play dates with Gaston
Scott, you may want to change your mail to address in the vid description below.
When I first saw the coffee boat I thought "Oh hell, Scott’s not gonna get any work done at all"
Then Scott said Gaston lives in Nelson, and I thought "Oh hell, Scott’s going to be broke forever"
Also if you need garden equipment, get onto Trade Tested. Their power trimmer combo is on sale for about $450, 20" chainsaw is $200, 43cc brush cutter is $220, and they all go like a cut cat. My 43cc brush cutter I’ve already tuned and hopped up a bit and it shreds thick Kikuyu like its nothing, and you can fit a 9 1/4" skilly blade on it as well.
Love the vids, you have inspired me to move to New Zealand moving to Auckland at the start of April.
Lovely place look at aaaaalllll that space. Congrats To you both!
Gaston is such a good guy
By the time you’ve cut that hole you haven’t got much door left… stupid
Are we the only country in the world to have shit diy stores? 👍👍🏴🏴
people pay good money to try to reproduce a roof like that (the patina’d garage roof). Consult your architect/designers on the overall look and feel you are going for. you may be able to leave it as a feature. new, as we know, is not always better. it’s probably 10ga steel. nearly impossible to buy these days, as roofing, for a reasonable cost.
Gaston!!
Hello you two, congratulations on the purchase of your first home.
Garage ideas. Lift up by about the height of two concrete blocks. Re clad with Linea board to match the house and re roof if required. Probably not an economic upgrade and a new garage may be a better idea. Cheers from Christchurch.
Cool video would be seeing you raise your garage for more head room!
Well why would some buy only a half saw?
Many memories in Kaiteriteri mate, welcome to my home town! (Watch your channel from Wales)
Watched this 3 times
Mate! What a great tip on clamping the board on so you could drill the hole. I would have plugged the door. Your way is way better! BUt. gotta move that door handle down to 35" from the ground!
Gaston is such a great guy ! Cheers from Canada.
Scott Brown Gardening episode 001, up next…
hey man, just a heads-up you may want to be careful about showing details about where you live! Not hard to find the address eh
keep up the amazing work, love the videos!
you’re just soooo satisfying to watch…. I adore you man…. Keep up the great work, and Happy New Year to wish you and your love ones a Prosperous joyful New 2022 ahead !!!
Ma dov’è abitate ?che stato ?

For the sake of engagement/YTmetrics
Power wash it. Hit problem areas with a nylon brush on an angle grinder. Provided you don’t now have any holes in the roof, liberally treat problem areas with a rust neutralizing primer followed by 2-3 coats of the roof coating of your choice.
Thanks for the hole saw tips
Cool to see you in the south island. I was born in motueka, the whole area is awesome.
Who is going to be scotts new sidekick
Hi Scott, happy new year to you all
Steve
Deadbolt. Key turns fine but put key in or pull key out sticks. Without buying all new lock sets for 2 doors, will be trying graphite powder next.
My advice is live somewhere for a year before making major changes so you can experience the seasons.
I may have cheered when the van appeared…
I guess you have to leave the Fascist Republic of New Zealand…
When I do the hole saw trick on a door, I also clamp a board to the back side of the hole to prevent tearout as the hole saw exits. If I want to be overly careful, I stop when the pilot bit for the hole saw makes a hole in the board on the back side, then use that to guide the hole saw from the back of the door.
They make a Direct-To-Metal (DTM) paint in the US that may be helpful, this is applied by air-less paint sprayer. My neighbor used this to repaint his metal window frames and it looks like factory.
I just came across the same situation. 35$ for a new hole saw for knob hole boring. The whole kit…21$?
10:20 if you have a hole saw that fits the old hole you can buy a bit that allows you to screw 2 hole saws on and use the inner one as a pilot bit
if you do not already have it i highly recommend 3m peltor as ear protection
“ I was looking like lion king “ 😂😂 classic 👌
This man knows his coffee. But please. Grind fresh
Can’t wait for the next video Scott! Hopefully catch you back in Edinburgh one day! Happy new year!
I’m pining for a new episode; looks like re-runs for the moment…😌
Nice to see a kiwi on here
i would build a new shed the way u want it
Bloody love Gaston. Congrats on the new house mate. I started watching your vids after buying my first house in the UK and it’s great to see you and Jess have finally got your own place.
happy for your new house, two-car garage workshop near house is all i need
Ahh the Norwegian anthem inn the start of the video 😍
Hey mate – noticed you struggling to get a Architect, my partner is an Architect who could help you out, she is also married to a QS (Me) so we understand your pains in construction 🙂
I really like the Woodglut plans.
How lucky you are in NZ, I wish I could walk into my local hardware store and see all the Milwaukee stuff laying around !
They are practically non existent here in Europe
