Golly, I had to start with just a circular saw and a drill. I’m considering going with milwaukee fuel as I upgrade.

Sorry, was busier earlier, but yep, I think Woody is still giving away his woodworking book, but I’m not so sure. I managed to get it go’ogling Woody Hyezmar, and was surprised to see his "Woodworking Bible" up for grabs, hope this helps.

Tools combined with skills to operate them create self reliance; Self reliance increases confidence and confidence is required to control the direction of your life vs it being controlled by others. I am excited for your journey, it’s going to be awsome! For those watching this and have not used tools or are unconfortable with them, it’s all good, but I am challenging you to go out and buy some tools and learn how to use them from youtube. We need more confident men in our society. I know you can do it! 🤙💪

I have the same topper on my truck — love it —- and welcome to the world of do it yourself— even if you might not do a job totally right at least you did it yourself and next time it will just be better 🙂

  5. Legacy Woodworks on June 16, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Weird, I started woodworking recently and started making and selling certain products…

  6. jonathan dizon on June 16, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Hell yeah, man! Milwaukee is the way to go! Love my Milwaukee tools and their battery system is so legit! I’m not going to front like I’m the greatest handyman, but I do love being able to build things with my own two hands. Have fun with all this, man! Stoked for you!

  7. heystarfish100 on June 16, 2022 at 9:07 pm

All very nice tools that will last you for years. Run that miter saw with the shop vac hose replacing the filter bag and thank me later. Woodworking is fun but a slippery slope. Happy birthday!

  8. Matt Yee on June 16, 2022 at 9:09 pm

Milwaukee is great! Best impact wrench! I just got their circular saw too and it’s awesome!

  9. Russell Harrison on June 16, 2022 at 9:10 pm

Deffintley looking forward to this Chad a couple of suggestions A. GET A ROUTER. You won’t regret it. B Dust Tornado is going to be your best friend.

  10. Puryear Eaker on June 16, 2022 at 9:12 pm

This time I will use Woodprix plans for this.

  11. Katz Steel on June 16, 2022 at 9:18 pm

You gotta start somewhere. I agree with Milwaukee. Quality stuff. Can’t believe he left out the circular saw though. That’s required. Triangle works with that for straight cross cuts. You should’ve built your own bench as that’s a great beginner project too.

Good thing I decided to come check your channel. This video didn’t show up on my sub list. Hyped for the future of this channel though.

  25. Mark on June 16, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Buy clamps from Harbor Freight. Lifetime warranty on them. You can’t ever have enough clamps and they’re not cheap. Since I see your wire wheel is from Harbor Freight.

  26. Sagebrush Longshots on June 16, 2022 at 9:42 pm

Shop Craigslist for a good stationary table saw with a good fence. Build the out-feed table for it and use it for the "work table." Build the shop around that.

  27. LorenzoBenzo on June 16, 2022 at 9:43 pm

No woodworking experience!? This is gonna be good…..

  28. Richard Brotzman on June 16, 2022 at 9:44 pm

You’ve got some nice stuff there, and you’re off to a good start, but you’re missing one very important tool that will be invaluable if you plan to do any serious finish carpentry (cabinet-grade or furniture grade) projects. You need a good table saw, and the bigger the better. I’m not talking about one of those compact "contractor’s" table saws that are on folding legs and designed to be semi-portable to take out to the job-site. Those certainly have their place, but they don’t give you the flexibility of a full-size table saw that’s designed to be set up in your workshop and left there. Look for one that lets you move the rip fence out at least 30" to the right of the blade, and again, the farther the better. You’re probably going to be looking in the $900-$1,200 range for the type of saw I’m talking about, but no woodworking shop is complete without one. If you can afford it (and if you have 220V available in your shop), a Delta Unisaw commercial grade table saw like you’d find in a professional cabinet shop would be a dream tool. I don’t have one because I don’t have the room, and I also can’t afford a $2,700-$3,000 saw, but I have had the opportunity to work on one in a cabinet shop, and they’re super nice, so if you have the bucks, skip the $1,000 table saw and go for the Delta Unisaw and you’ll make all of us turn green with envy.

Good luck on the learning curve. And let us know what you use that angle grinder for. I have one, and I do use it occasionally. It’s a really handy thing to have around, but I can’t say I’ve ever used it on a woodworking project.

  29. vik on June 16, 2022 at 9:45 pm

really you needed a table saw, planer and jointer, router table too.

  30. jessie lacson on June 16, 2022 at 9:46 pm

Milwaukee is awesome but could of saved $1000 and bought Ryobi

  34. Micah D on June 16, 2022 at 9:50 pm

    Weird flex but ok

J/K stoked for this new adventure

  35. inf3ct3d r3x on June 16, 2022 at 9:50 pm

I like my Milwaukee drill and driver
Not sure why you would need an angle grinder for wood working. It is usually used to cut metal.
Building a bench is a great first project, I built a 55g fishtank stand to learn/break in my tools about a year ago.

Anyways love it man keep pushing on

  36. Art Imla on June 16, 2022 at 9:52 pm

Something Springfield? Hmm…sounds like a certain kitty might be making an appearance. I’ll be honest…don’t have much hope for it…I’m thinking a repeat of the mossberg. Btw…first woodworking build should be a bird box. I’m just saying…
