I'm fully satisfied with this VERTICAL HOLDING JIG that I use most frequently [woodworking]
I’m a carpenter in the middle of fifties. Woodworking is far from my major job. I may stand somewhere between hobby carpenter and expert. So my skill hasn’t matured fully and I make many mistakes in the videos. I hope you would forgive me generously.
A late bloomer carpenter’s woodworking diary. This is the motto of my channel. I enjoy making furniture and videos. And using my leisure time I make videos and share how I make and my idea that comes to my mind. Those are sometimes childish and sometimes not too bad. What I want is you just enjoy watching one or two of my videos and fly to other channels better than mine.
I’d like to progress my woodworking skills through struggle to make furniture and videos. And I hope those can help you encouraged for woodworking.
Thanks for reading
This is a great jig. Just made one last night. Thank for the video.
thanks for doing what you do 👍
Отлично.
I could have used a jig like this today. Great video. Thank you!

If you use the fence and cross cut together, the kickback will happen, so you can’t use it together.
you fast foward a little bit and started to seems like stop motion.
Awesome idea and woodworking … EXCEPT … safety @ 4:20 – 4:30. Hands SO CLOSE to blade? Come on , man!!
Great jig! Starting my own little shop once we get moved into our new house and one of my first projects requires a jig like this.
Back in the 80s when I used to do trim carpentry, we had a custom cabinet makers that worked on some of our houses. The owner was a big man with big meaty fingers. Didn’t see him on site for a few months and when he finally came out to one of our houses a few things were missing. 3 of his big meaty fingers. He was over at his friend’s/coworker’s house helping with some cabinets and got careless with the table saw.
Many of us that have worked around woodworking tools have done some silly things (me included!) where we were very lucky with the outcome 🙂 Hope you are looking at your video and taking very seriously everyone’s concern.
I dig this jig so much – thanks for sharing! "Keep all 10." ~Dude who no longer has all 10
i love
I’m getting a lot out of this video , things I’ve never seen, fingers so near the blade, seen that.
I think I will build this for myself. The only addition/modification I would think to make would be to drill some shallow holes to place a 1" dowel inside towards the back to make a push handle with so you aren’t having to reach all the way through to pull it back and forth.
I’m making one as I type.
Top I’ve done one but I make one extra handle
You are an accident waiting to happen!!!! I cannot delieve how close you put your fingers to the moving blade. Watch from just after 4.15 minutes to see what I mean. Not enough respect for that blade time is not on his side. also no riving splitter installed. Get safe before its a trip to hospital.
8 мин.убитого времени из жизни. Хрень полная.
I find it hard to believe that someone who makes and uses such a wonderful jig as this one, doesn’t have a cross-cut sled!

Can you give measurements to this jig?
I like your approach to making the tall fence. Making this .
Nice concept!! Like the simplicity
Promote safety first though.
DANGER! 2:06-2:16
I must tell you that while I do have a Delta tenoning tool, after I made one similar to this one after watching this video I use it all the time!
Great jig…. Any plans available for this jig?
DUDE! raise the blade just high enough to cut the wood your using! DONT RAISE IT ANY HIGHER!!!
This is the best tenoning jig I’ve seen yet very nice job
Nice. I really liked this one. Going to copy this style. Good job.
I will certainly do the same. Thank you for sharing this idea.
Ótimo trabalho, parabéns
I’m definitely building one of these. You can put some finishing wax on the parts of the jig that make contact with the fence and table to help it slide better. Also, I think it would make sense to add a small piece of wood in the hole to be able to grab it without having to put your whole arm inside, might make things more convenient.
You’re perfect 👍🏼
Great video !
Por favor tiene la guía de mesa que usa y podría hacer un video de como lo ha conseguido gracias
For those watching this amazing jig video, two major safety warnings: 1-never use miter gauge and rip fence at once (2:05), kickback risk; 2-do not remove wood pieces near the blade with your hand while it is still spinning (4:20). Despite that, amazing jig, I will indeed make one.
great idea
Hello
how do you manage to have such a wide saw blade.
Best regards
Very useful jig,thanks.
Greetings from Chile!!!
This dude scares me with that table saw geeze
Fantastico
Great Video!!! Can you please post the dimension??
I believe you are an accompliushed woodworker. I have always enjoyed your videos. To me you are one the best ‘HAND PLANE’ maker. I wish I had the skills to make those hand planes for the fun of it. Keep being creative and good work. I LOVE IT!!
4:20-4:30 как опасно, береги пальцы.
wow I have never seen the combination square used like this 1:40 from now on I will use that method when I have to make internal measurements and apply them on the table saw great contribution thanks.
Love this jig. I will be making myself one. That said…you might want to look into getting a riving knife to sit behind your saw blade. Prevents nearly all kickback.
Excellent video and process. Great addition to any shop. Thanks for sharing.
Table saw로 저렇게 cross cut 하시면서 fence를 쓰시면 매우 위험할 수 있다고 알고 있습니다~! 조심하세요~
😁👏👏👏
Great video, thanks for sharing your tips
Excellent work here 👍🏽
Been looking for a simple jig like this. I lack the imagination to design it myself. This is perfect.
