    Wonderful.
Why are American "wood workers" unwilling/unable to make long lasting, inter-connecting projects like this?. And most of the time with common hand tools.

For all the wood questions out there. Along the grain strength is almost 1k pounds per square inch. So the one by seven left loses no strength when the two pieces are put back in. Although deflection has been decreased significantly. Meaning the side can’t hold as much. Title said for decoration. This would be a great shelf or table with 3 more. Across the grain strength would be several hundred pounds per square inch and could span several feet.

  16. mayka_kh on April 26, 2023 at 10:02 am

The post severely cut. Only about quarter inch or less remains. Will it be tough enough for a heavy tabletop for example?

  19. Joseph Hodges on April 26, 2023 at 10:06 am

All by hand and by eye. Even the wooden beater stick was nice. I did not see any adhesive so nice to move if have limited space but what is the best type of adhesive for this. I assume just regular old wood glue would work. Wonder the weight limit on them and if they would say be good for a bed or just for a table.

  32. rjtjtckt on April 26, 2023 at 10:15 am

Great skill but how is it fastened, can’t really be glued because too much end grain, maybe dowelled? Fascinating to know how he sharpens his chisels.

  48. Sid Viciousness on April 26, 2023 at 10:40 am

Here is how some of the world’s great buildings etc… were fashioned.
No blinking "alien" technology or science fiction mumbo jumbo!
Just highly skilled and dedicated individuals-using ordinary tools until they got the desired effects!
    We are such children!
Afraid of our own damnable shadows!
Share and enjoy the uncommon, common of humanity.
Stop believing in the fallacy of a superior ethnicity.
