I’ve noticed the Sprayberry license plate. What part of Ga are you in? Love the project. I was looking for something to do with the little ones and this might be the one!

  15. Sapele Steve on September 22, 2022 at 2:12 am

Very cool project Steve! I am curious as to what keeps all those individual pieces of wood from moving out of shape since you did not glue them? Anyway, great job………….. 🙂

  18. Tony Summar on September 22, 2022 at 2:17 am

Very nice spinner, it turned out great!
When using the swivel, what do you hang it on then? A string or some twine? Or do you hang it on something more stable, like an eye hook screwed into a board?
    Thanks

Beautiful! I love the different colored woods you used. I could watch that spin all day.

  30. BlackCat2 on September 22, 2022 at 2:32 am

Beautiful work but I wanted to cry when you wiped all them wood cut offs into the trash. 🙁 Those could have been used in another project and I certainly would have. Thinking something wood and resin. – Heidi

  31. Brayden on September 22, 2022 at 2:33 am

Me at the beginning of the video: Woodworking videos sure are getting weird – this guy is making a wind spinner and installing a box fan in one video?

Me at the end of the video: ……………………. oh

    Brilliant 😀

  32. John Chapman on September 22, 2022 at 2:35 am

Nice project. I replicated it, for the most part. Only changes I made were: 1)using a cap nut at the top with a hole through it for the swivel, 2) 28 1/2" x 9 3/4" dimensions. Unfortunately mine will not spin at all. Is there something you can offer as possible cause and a remedy?
    Thanks.

  33. Gary Menasco on September 22, 2022 at 2:35 am

What size Barrel Swivel did you use…have a size 1 on mine and chain hanger but not spinning very well….going to go to twine later to see if that changes….just curious what size barrel swivel you are using

  34. John Turner on September 22, 2022 at 2:36 am

That’s pretty cool, Steve.. and I have a brand new porch deck that we have been working on to try one of these out on….

Hi Steve – Well, what a great video! We received a windspinner similar to yours as a gift and I wanted to see how far to turn each slat. I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation – I bet you are fun to hang with! Did you know that you smile the whole time you’re talking? It makes you come across and friendly and approachable. Thank you for the demo, and I can’t wait to hang our windspinner outside!
