I’m wondering, what is the secret of your precision. Is it the markening, your extraordinary skills or the simple, but very efficient sharp tools? I guess: all together. Amazing. Thank you!

Great to spot that the joint was drawn wrong way around and got flipped before cutting. Hope that he noticed it in time

Why hide off a mistake as if it is all part of the same sequence? … upto 0:43 you clearly have the lines angled the wrong way such that the joint would fall apart and then by 0:47 the lines are suddenly the correct way around for a dovetail!

  23. Jnan Nath Basumatary on November 12, 2022 at 3:31 am

Nicely done! Of course if that had been me, it would have split along the grain while assembly.

  41. Cyrille copy on November 12, 2022 at 3:56 am

Thanks a lot for all this beautiful joinery. What are the blade size of your chisels please?

  42. live oak on November 12, 2022 at 3:56 am

    Beautiful joint!
What species are the woods? The dark looks like teak and the light looks very much like the chinaberry (Melia azedarach) that grows here in Florida

    Master.

  47. Bohumír Zámečník on November 12, 2022 at 4:05 am

This joint will easily fail when force is applied on the dark board around the axis of the light board. The base of the sliding dovetail pin is the weak spot and will crack. The outer walls are straight and will not resist that force. If these wall were skewed to form two fully dovetailed channels, that would be a different story.
