Intarsia Woodworking

Intarsia is an art form where pieces of wood are placed together to create an image. In this video I’ll be showing how to make a Horsehead. I have made many different images over the years. Some with a store bought plan like this one and others just of an image I liked and where I had to design the piece. In this intarsia project I combined it with a sign which says Bienvenidos which translated means welcome in Spanish. It’s a fun low cost DIY Project that anyone with enough patience to sand can make. The Material is cheap since one can use a lot of leftovers that most of us woodworking guys have lying around the shop. Like a lot of other Wood projects you really see it if you don’t spend the extra Time in the shaping and sanding of the puzzle pieces. So this is how I do it and I hope you enjoy watching the video.
