Job Talks – Cabinetmaker – Douglas Grew in his Skilled Trade from his Wood-Working Hobby
Douglas teaches cabinet making at a high school. The path to his career was different in that he did wood working as a hobby and eventually got pulled into the trade from his hobby as people started asking him to make things for them. His advice is to take as many classes in high school as possible, get into a co-op placement, and find summer jobs helping out in shops to give it a try. See what else Douglas shares in his talk.
