Job Talks – Carpenter – Jules Discusses Why Carpentry is Like a Puzzle

Jules is a carpenter in the renovation industry. She loves her job because it’s something new everyday; the perfect mix of physical work and brain work, working with people and working alone. She says it’s the perfect balance. She enjoys the challenge of integrating the new with the old and finds it to be like a puzzle. Listen to her job talk to find out what she thinks is the biggest misconception about her industry.

I’ve been working behind a desk most of my career. Which I’m realizing is not too fulfilling. But I have always been interested in projects, interior decor and building/fixing things. I really would like to switch my career from being an loan analyst to being a carpenter. I think this might be my true honest passion.
