I made one of those about 30 years ago. Found it in a booklet and decided to try it out. Have it hanging on the wall and still use it. I think someone makes a pair of brackets to use instead of toggles. I prefer your version. Simpler and you can use it to cut tapers too. Glad you shared it with everyone, thanks!
What clamps are those?!
How much material are you losing when doing this?
Love this
ok, what if I only have a circular saw and jig saw?
I just had to do this 2 days ago, works perfectly. I used the blue tape + superglue method to hold it though πͺπ½
No safety guard over the saw…
Cuts through walnut like butter. ππ
Mantap bro π
Why canβt you just run it along the fence twice? Wonβt that make a straight line on either side?
good π

Very nice! I have a planer, but not a jointer, so I also have to square up my edges first with the table saw.
How do you flatten the wide face and ensure itβs 90 degrees from the edge?
Superb cut
What if you fence isnβt quite square?
Just bought these clamps to make one of these sleds. Iβll make a short too but will cut off a ruff live edge to show the point of the jig.
Sorry to be a dick here but you are still just ripping. You could run it right on the rip fence and turn it around and run the other side exactly the same way without the sled and get the same result. Beautiful saw π
Uh but who says you lined up the walnut square on the rig?
Just buy a panel saw.π
