This is the best in the west tool sale held by the Pacific Northwest two collectors. It happens once every two years and is the largest hand tool sale in the west. Today we’re doing the tailgate sale outside in the morning. It starts just before the sun rises and usually goes until 10:00 or 11:00.

About a year ago I broke down and bought the Bench Dog router plane on sale and have been well pleased. The only draw back is they only make one size cutter as far as I know. I had looked for a Stanley for about three years and even made my own crummy one. Antique tools are awfully scarce in the South and the ones you find are usually very rusty.

    WTF, it’s a scrap sale …

  3. Brendan Langord on October 25, 2022 at 3:33 am

I wish I had known about this event earlier. I just happened to be in Portland today. Oh well, maybe next time.

Я очень хочу такую большую нажовку, где можно ее купить?

  6. Ernie Engineer on October 25, 2022 at 3:37 am

Marine tool for finishing line on a ship

  7. Яна Шарикаева on October 25, 2022 at 3:37 am

Смотрел и волосы становились дыбом на голове. Такого ассортимента и зобилия мне никогда неприходилось видеть.

  10. Thomas Hoskins on October 25, 2022 at 3:41 am

  14. B England on October 25, 2022 at 3:45 am

Quarter way into the video but I hope to see you actually purchasing items

  15. Timothy Mallon on October 25, 2022 at 3:45 am

23:04 I was watching him go past that mallet so many times, oblivious to its existence! Hahaha so awesome! Gotta love live streaming

  16. Alva Goldbook on October 25, 2022 at 3:49 am

Aw man. Wish I had known. I would’ve taken some days off to go. In I’m ca.

  19. Zeek on October 25, 2022 at 4:04 am

Probably a good thing I would be hard pressed to go to this. Would be like a kid in a candy store lol

  20. Tayyab Safdar on October 25, 2022 at 4:04 am

I live far off in another country all is beyond my reach, but I love the tools and the people. This is my almost 20th time watching the video in less than normal speed. Waooo, reminds me of the Ancient Mariner….water water everywhere not a drop to drink (for me only). Regards.

Hammer with groove: Look up "seizing mallet". Used for wrapping large rope with a shield of smaller line for protection, finishing, etc.

  22. Ernie Engineer on October 25, 2022 at 4:10 am

Wrapping a small line tightly around a larger line to finish the fittings

  23. Cheryl Dawkins on October 25, 2022 at 4:13 am

The item just before the cable puller is a long lighter. To light grill or something similar.

  24. Yang Ji on October 25, 2022 at 4:16 am

James seems to get left and right confused more recently in live streamed tool meets. We need to ship him some stickers indicating left and right on his phone.
Next time, use his watch as direction guide. Just say to your watch hand side, or your phone hand side.

  25. John Thornburg on October 25, 2022 at 4:19 am

Nice meeting you, have a good trip back home.
