Hi, very good video and a nice Mini sled 🙂 I have mailed you attaching three files with a 3D printed version of the stop block. (added 2 markers, one in each side so you can have a measurement tape on top of the fence. If you like it, you can add it as downloadable to those who have a 3D printer. Keep up the good work

I have a very short Infeed area on my saw, so making a sled seemed rather ridiculous. I like ur design though. I’ll have to try it.

  3. Samuel Puckett on November 14, 2022 at 4:51 am

Love this sled. The best one I’ve seen yet to meet my needs. Great job, thanks!

  4. Ankit Gajjar on November 14, 2022 at 4:51 am

Great job, it will very usefull to me for bulk cutting projects in future. 👍well done..

  5. Dennis Hill on November 14, 2022 at 4:53 am

Leave it to John to build a small, simple, effective, beautiful sled instead of trying to out do all the other monster, unwieldy sleds.

  6. Mark Koons on November 14, 2022 at 4:56 am

Yikes! What a way to treat a presumably sharp chisel blade. On the other hand, pretty impressive.

  7. Ronin on November 14, 2022 at 4:57 am

    excellent sled

  8. Jim Laptewicz on November 14, 2022 at 4:57 am

    Simple but effective. Great job!

  9. Dan S on November 14, 2022 at 4:58 am

Interesting…I’m thinking of two potential challenges….getting the right depth for the runners. Also, do I need a zero clearance plate? A traditional sled makes one unnecessary.

  10. Roger Leete on November 14, 2022 at 4:59 am

Kudos for not buying a t-slot like so many others do.

  11. James Donald on November 14, 2022 at 5:01 am

    Love your home made tools!

  12. Phil Towers on November 14, 2022 at 5:01 am

I made 1 of these sleds a few years ago, more as a weekend project – now I use it almost all the time – thanks John, love your work…

  17. Mel Stead on November 14, 2022 at 5:04 am

Safety is not first, but last in consideration in this video! Dangerous use of a table saw.

  18. Lincoln Dickerson on November 14, 2022 at 5:06 am

Fantastic! A couple question. 1) is there any reason why the runners are longer than the sled itself?
    2) How did you glue those runners without getting glue on the saw or in the runner slots???

  19. Jamie MK on November 14, 2022 at 5:06 am

Nice sled, could also be improved further by adding 45degree cuts and a larger protection block at the back

  20. Emanuel Matos on November 14, 2022 at 5:08 am

Brilliant!!!!! Brilliant. You’re not just amazing; you are clever, intelligent, creative, and all-around great at creating substantive and relevant content for the woodworking community. Thank you.

  21. ilive4livemusic on November 14, 2022 at 5:08 am

So much simpler than so many of the sleds I’ve seen yet every bit as functional

Awesome sled, just finished it. Highly recommend It and plans are free from John. I also recommend the belt and disc sander, it’s compact, easy to build and adjust, very useful. and very cool with holes drilled in the top wheel. Thanks John.

  43. Yoglawm on November 14, 2022 at 5:36 am

I built a table saw sled then quickly found out that I didn’t really have any use for it because there’s the miter saw not too far away.
Please help me understand where a table saw sled would outshine the miter saw.

  44. Steve Ward on November 14, 2022 at 5:37 am

What’s the piece laying on top of the fence with the gears?

  45. Tony Lawrence on November 14, 2022 at 5:39 am
