Sorry if I missed it in the vid

I was feeling very overwhelmed about not being able to do things perfectly (just saw wood for the first time yesterday) and this video made me very happy to understand that everything is a process. All things come with practice
Thank you for the table clamp w/o expensive, complicated, tools! Now, how about those beautiful, homemade clamps l saw you use!?
10:45 Awkward 😘
06:45 "… would you like me to drill that hole for you, babe? …" – well we can make a lot of jokes on this line, can’t we?
You are a nice grandson, your grandmother must be happy with her new working table! Cheers!
Beautiful. Beautiful couple.
Squiggly lines is a nice trick! Thanks for making this video – for anyone who is new to wood working, this is motivating!
She chisels like a girl.
Great job!
genial work lady, you inspire me <3
All hand tools? My you are brave
Awesome video!!
There is no excuse for us woodworking guys not to have a bench by our own hands. Me included😔😔😔. Good job maam!!!
Thought it was gonna be a Tom Scott video
You guys are just great!
My home went up in smoke due to a wildfire last August and my workbench and all my tools acquired over the past 40 years with it.
Now I’m beginning anew and decided I’d try building a bench “without a bench” and Sarah has shown me how to transition out of “novice”…
Please, please, post the legs portion soon.
From a 74 y/o retired high school science teacher with lots of time, minimal resources (but slowly
accreting), and a body with lots of mileage.
Awesome vid. Love the mom joke. Novice no vise….ok now I get it.😁😁😁
Your mistake is that you should have started her off with some wooden shoes.
What a terrific video, fair play for a beginner to go for it while
Being filmed. Well done Sara, really great job
Cool video, cool project. I am however appalled seeing those individually plastic wrapped boards. I would never buy from a supplier who produces so much unneeded waste. Do they not realise that plastic waste is create ecological disasters in the sea and on land? The stuff is everywhere, they are even finding traces in chicken eggs. It’s way beyond time for all of us to act responsibly… for future generations if not for ourselves.
I know that this is a starter bench and poplar is cheap, but isn’t it a bit weak for a workbench top?
How many people will it take to move the bench?
Y’all just crack me up! 🤣
ooh looks like you’re gonna have a sore back after that. thanks for sharing…nothing better than teamwork.
Wow. This is SO GREAT!! I don’t have a lot of money or tools or space and this is such great way to get a work space!!! Aaaaaa!! So excited!!
Thank you for the inspiration!!!! Your wife did an awesome job sir!!!! If im not mistaken that’s poplar right?
What was the cost of that lumber if I may ask.
You got the deluxe big-box lumber. I think mine must be second hand since it never comes wrapped. 🙂
What a lovely family ❤ God bless you
Love you both 😎.
Btw, really not so many women on this georgous planet can say: "I’ve build my own workbench!!" . Congrats Sarah, I’m freakin bloody jealous (didn’t made my own yet – and I’m almost 50yo male in quite gelatizined state 😆).
And that moment at 9:00 😆🙌😍.
I admire her for putting herself on the Spot like that. Subscribed.
I love it. Only piece of advice from a novice: it’s easier to start sawing with the front of the saw, because the angle of the teeth is less aggressive
Always support the piece you cutting off so that it does not break off the corner , good work, only using hand tools, old school 👍
Starting the saw IS the stressful part!
Sarah you’re my hero.
wtf? why is the wood wrapped in plastic? to keep it at low moisture levels maybe but anyway it’s a waste, typical selfish type of thing to do (talking about the provider not you! 😉 )
Making a bench would probably cost around 300 to make around here it seems, rip
it’s really cool video. Hope you got as much fun recording it as i got when watch it =)
Hello from Brazil, I loved this video!
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! 👍 What a great couple! 😁
It is SO MUCH FUN watching you get better. Very encouraging for those of use who struggle!
What a great opportunity – to be personally tutored by James Wright. Very inspirational and motivating. Thank you for the glimpse into your life.
Why the hell would they plastic wrap wood.Great for environment
This was a wonderful, interesting, and heart warming video. Thank you for brightening my day and some inspiration for my bench
Ok the ghost routine was nerdy but funny. 😏
After this you going to have muscles 💪
It’s always fun to see Sarah in your videos. She’s a real trooper. Looking forward to this series. I can do very precise power tool work but very much still learning with hand tools and a traditional woodworking bench is on my "to do" list. Mine only comes to the shop when I need help with something large and heavy or to see if I’m still alive.
Great, fun video
Hey! looking forward to the next step in this series!
This was a wholesome and inspiring video!
