I would chose DeWALT because im into their line of tools!

  2. Mark Ledyard on June 15, 2022 at 9:03 pm

Great review. I sold my soul to Milwaukee many years ago, so I bleed red… Literally and figuratively. However, on this particular tool, I actually like the Dewalt better, based on the reviews I’ve seen and read. But since I’ve already got a bunch of M18 batteries and chargers, I’m gonna stick with red. I think that is how these companies want it to go, right?

I’ve bought the dewalt, I had a milwaukee drill in the past but the batteries only lasted a couple of years so I replaced it with a dewalt drill and 5 years plus later they are still good, so I’ve bought an impact, jigsaw and work light from dewalt. Oh and in Europe they jigsaw comes with an attachment for a vacuum.

  4. Ken Ferner on June 15, 2022 at 9:06 pm

I have and use both, but the Milwaukee is my top pick

  5. pinkyfloydyfan1 on June 15, 2022 at 9:06 pm

DeWalt all the way: cheaper, smoother, superb blades change, smaller, variable speed,… DeWalt definitively a winner!

  6. jirdesteva on June 15, 2022 at 9:06 pm

My 1997 Bosch corded jigsaw still cuts straight and clean. I need Dewalt to add dust collection for me to buy theirs.

  7. yovani esquilin on June 15, 2022 at 9:08 pm

Looking at the way they both cut i think im going to get the milwakee looked like it cut easier ill pay the extra $20 but dewalt is a great tool ass we’ll.

  8. Jordan Duncan on June 15, 2022 at 9:09 pm

I’m a dewalt guy strictly from the fact Milwaukee isn’t sold much in my neck of the woods. I love both brands. Milwaukee seems to usually have the power but I think Dewalt always beats them on ergonomics. I personally want the barrel grip dewalt. Both are fantastic

  9. Snowy Bear on June 15, 2022 at 9:11 pm

I went with the Milwaukee simply because I already have an M18 impact drill and have the M18 hedge timmer and string trimmer on the way. I’m in the process of replacing all my power tools with the M18s. I don’t need yet another charger and battery system. The Milwaukee seems to cut faster and I like the open face better so I can see the blade cutting.

  10. jojolozano on June 15, 2022 at 9:16 pm

That Milwaukee cut that with ease

  11. j ma on June 15, 2022 at 9:16 pm

thanks, yes it looks like the motors weight and center of gravity closer to the blade. just pulled the trigger at acme tools, two fives, charger and saw for 200

  12. CatFish 911 on June 15, 2022 at 9:16 pm

I will take whichever one my neighbor has as I am to CHEAP and to much of a PENNY PINCHER to spend over 100 bucks on a saw. I couldn’t care less about the color as long as it cuts and gets the job done.

  13. jedics on June 15, 2022 at 9:19 pm

The chip out on those two cuts at the end was an insane amount, how is this compared to a corded?

  14. Mogman150 on June 15, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Plus and minus to both. Probably matters more what color of batteries/chargers you already have in your garage. 🙂

  15. Larry Mudgett on June 15, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Have to go with dewalt 😁

  16. Brin Levinson on June 15, 2022 at 9:22 pm

I use the Milwaukee almost every day in the shop and can vouch that it’s a great saw. The variable speed trigger works perfectly, stops on a hair, it’s easy to control and you can precisely cut along the edge of a pencil line. It does have one flaw which is the shoe lock lever comes loose really easily and will even vibrate open by itself. I had to wedge a small shim in the side to lock it shut… The is especially annoying considering how hard it is to get the batteries out. Some things too loose, some things too tight… I’m looking at the Dewalt and it looks great, nice and compact but theres a lot of shoe in front of the blade which blocks the view of the cut line. You never cut without looking at where the blade is on the cut line, so that looks like a bad design choice. The Milwaukee shoe is minimal in front of the blade so you can see what’s going on easily.

  17. R D on June 15, 2022 at 9:22 pm

    Love the Milwaukee.

  18. Joe Prescott on June 15, 2022 at 9:26 pm

I would like to have on the Milwaukee a pre selected speed dial. NOT on the trigger

  19. MrBenzboy11 on June 15, 2022 at 9:26 pm

I use to be a Milwaukee fan but lately I am turning into the Dewalt stuff. Actually right now I’m looking for one of these and I tried it both of them and I like it Dewalt better because of the handle it’s more comfortable and you have more control in your hand. Recently I got for my self the other jigsaw style of Milwaukee and do not really like it so that’s why I’m looking for a D handle one.

  20. Sgt Dino on June 15, 2022 at 9:27 pm

I’m picking DeWalt just because of all the features AND $20 cheaper

  21. Rick Esco on June 15, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Both great tools only thing I would like for to change is the price $

  22. pokeba on June 15, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Got both with the black Friday sale. I really like the blade release on the Dewalt and the I felt the Dewalt has less vibration and two LEDs make the cut line more clear. Ended up returned the Milwaukee.

  23. ted fritsch on June 15, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Most of my new tools switching to Brushless from corded, are Milwaukee. But the Dewalt has the ergonomics. I’m going to get the Dewalt. thanks.

  24. jose lara on June 15, 2022 at 9:29 pm

    Red all the way

  25. robert wagner on June 15, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Looking to replace an old B & D corded jig saw, it still cuts but is primitive. I’m leaning towards the Milwaukee it’s a few bucks more but it does have dust collection.

  26. LIRANSOLOMON on June 15, 2022 at 9:34 pm

    I love dewalt

  27. Robert on June 15, 2022 at 9:34 pm

dewalt to change to a straight foot protection, so I can use a triangle or what ever as a guide.

  28. Gustavo Henrique on June 15, 2022 at 9:35 pm

    I still prefer DeWalt.

  29. Joshua Greene on June 15, 2022 at 9:36 pm

This years black friday sales I got the milwaukee jigsaw, two 4 hour batteries, a charger, and a bag to carry it in. I got it all for $199

  30. Afrikaaner11 on June 15, 2022 at 9:36 pm

I know it should not make a difference, but I like the Dewalt because of the color. I just love that yellow. It’s like I can be looking in the opposite direction and still see it.

  31. Segio Dia on June 15, 2022 at 9:37 pm

    Milwaukee wins

  32. Antonio Claudio Michael on June 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

I’m in Both Milwaukee and dewalts line but the Milwaukee has more features then the dewalt and I spent alot of time researching both to find out what one I wanted and I ended up getting the Milwaukee d handle over the dewalt

  33. house machine on June 15, 2022 at 9:38 pm

    Metabo for the win

  34. Joao Jesus on June 15, 2022 at 9:39 pm

I wish Milwaukee had the variable speed knob. Thats a deal breaker for me. I’m sticking with my corded jigsaw just because of that.

  35. Riley Taylor on June 15, 2022 at 9:42 pm

Already in the DeWalt platform so I’ll stick with the DeWalt.

  36. patriotpaul on June 15, 2022 at 9:43 pm

Bosch Invented the T shank Blades we all love over 25 years ago (the patent is now run out) Dewalt and Milwaukee started using them as soon as it did. Bosch invented the dust blower that keeps your line clear as well, they invented the toolless blade change also and theirs always had a 9 ft cord so it wouldn’t unplug itself ripping 8ft sheets. Bosch dominated the 110 volt jigsaw market with theirs for 25 years. Ask any old carpenter. Bosch is the one you need to beat. I however like the Makita for a low priced alternative. Makita always paid Bosch a patent fee and used T shank blades on many of their better quality jigsaws for decades. I just bought my 18 volt Makita for 119.00 bare tool I already have 18 volt Makita batteries/charger though. I am sure if you have dewalt stuff already their saw is fine . If you have Milwaukee already their saw is fine too. If You have neither and you just want the best jigsaw, your looking for a Bosch. Each Company has a couple tools that are their best , In Jigsaws ,Rotary Hammers,Jackhammers, metal shears, Its just about impossible to beat Bosch.

  37. luna on June 15, 2022 at 9:45 pm

I’ve used both. A different feel but both are very capable. I chose the Milwaukee battery platform and have been very happy. Almost ditched all my corded tools.

  38. Erto Andez on June 15, 2022 at 9:45 pm

    Dewalt built in USA 🇺🇸

  39. Antonio Claudio Michael on June 15, 2022 at 9:46 pm

I wish Milwaukee would have put the speed dial as well as the running lock on the d handle like the rigid octane model

  40. Mykola Shatkovskyi on June 15, 2022 at 9:47 pm

    Good review. Thanks.

  41. Do Alex on June 15, 2022 at 9:48 pm

Ironworker Doug here; I must admit both are beautiful saws , and I am looking to upgrade my craftsman corded, I’ve had for 30 years . What do you do,? Flip a coin 🪙, wait for one to go on sale first! I got it show a picture of both of them to my wife and say this is what I want for Christmas . I bet it will be the DeWalt!!! 😂

  42. promo130 on June 15, 2022 at 9:49 pm

    wich is the most powerfull?

  43. Danger Noodle on June 15, 2022 at 9:50 pm

I’ve had too many fuels break on the job. They work great until they don’t work at all.

  44. Sauce1977 on June 15, 2022 at 9:50 pm

Im going back to dewalt. Milwaukees over priced and customer service on repairs is crap. Still waiting for the box to ship my broken gen 2 brad nailer.

  45. Aarron Her on June 15, 2022 at 9:50 pm

I stick with Dewalt cause I has most dewalt cordless tools

  46. Kurtis Tillery on June 15, 2022 at 9:51 pm

As a carpenter and cabinet maker for decades, the most important thing on these saws is the shoe design.

  47. abhishek Bhardwaj on June 15, 2022 at 9:52 pm

    Good

  48. Bela Farlow on June 15, 2022 at 9:56 pm

Very equal but I’m not buying a whole new battery for one tool

  49. Patriot Sleeper Cell on June 15, 2022 at 9:58 pm

Ether you get you won’t be disappointed.

  50. M White on June 15, 2022 at 9:59 pm

Im a red guy, but the jigsaw and the oscillating tool by dewalt I like better, because of the grip and the compact design. Milwaukee in both tools seem bulky and have a huge grip…. unfortunately it’s not enough for me to start another eco-system of batteries …
