Love this concept!!! Amazing video ❀️

  5. Mavrik9000 on June 6, 2023 at 12:29 pm

It looks nice, but why chose a design for a rolled-up towel when you wanted one for a hanging towel?

  6. Neeboopsh on June 6, 2023 at 12:30 pm

how does josh potter even do any woodworking? he is blind af

  7. Dave on June 6, 2023 at 12:31 pm

Definitely not your design. But it is your build.

  8. GreatJuju on June 6, 2023 at 12:32 pm

Out of all the options, I think he ended up on the most boring one

  9. rRobert Smith on June 6, 2023 at 12:32 pm

This reminds me that if you have an AI, that you have to be smart enough to ask the AI to change your plans, and
modify your plans and give you approx. measurements, since it does these things better and faster than you.

I’m still waiting for the build off between brothers! 1 board challenge

  12. Articrdog on June 6, 2023 at 12:37 pm

Does anyone realize that AI is the end of hands on woodworking!? I don’t think so this is so sad!we should all be afraid.

  13. Helena Khudyna on June 6, 2023 at 12:38 pm

I thought the vertical one is more like 8, not B… like, it’s symmetrical? Other than that, it’s beautiful!

  14. lola a on June 6, 2023 at 12:41 pm

well not even linking the AI that you used seams like, if not a design copy/fraud, at least a bad practice

  15. Shakdi Dagalimal on June 6, 2023 at 12:42 pm

The multi AI generated pictures are impressive…. unfortunately they do not follow physics rules … LOL

  16. WTFATC on June 6, 2023 at 12:44 pm

    Foreskin marks !!!! =)))

  17. WS Banner 16 on June 6, 2023 at 12:45 pm

It’s not what working if you’re using AI.. period. This video doesn’t belong on a woodworking channel if belongs on a computer nerd channel. Sorry but this is so stupid and giving over control of creativity to a computer is beyond retarded

  18. cursplat on June 6, 2023 at 12:45 pm

Could be the most important woodworking video I have seen as of tomorrow. Why don’t I know about you?

  21. Kelvallontan on June 6, 2023 at 12:51 pm

Oh boy, I did almost snort at the "foreskin marks"!
    Great design and realisation!

  22. Tom Make Here on June 6, 2023 at 12:54 pm

I love this so much it came out looking great
What you said on the podcast about using AI like a pinterest board struck me as an awesome idea. I’d be keen to see more of this

  23. Nick on June 6, 2023 at 12:55 pm

Yooo do more of this! So cool! Do a table next!

  24. Andrew Mast on June 6, 2023 at 12:57 pm

my wife is an SLP too! Cool project. also, putting a dowel through the planer was a surprise- would that create an oblong shape?

  25. Erki Sala on June 6, 2023 at 12:59 pm

    I like this idea.

  26. Joe Faraone on June 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm

Excellent video showing how you made a concept real…. It’s your design — you input the criteria for the AI to render, then you interpreted what the AI rendered. Wish I lived near Kencraft…. Ordering wood just isn’t the same as choosing it yourself.

Sand out all the foreskin… Foredom marks" πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

    Interesting Freudian slip? πŸ€”

  28. Pat on June 6, 2023 at 1:02 pm

Creativity stems from the human brain. Not from a computer. Years ago a friend that happened to be a computer tech told me not to carry my brain in a briefcase. Asking ai to do for you because you don’t have the ability to be creative is such a cop out. Thinking for oneself and creating something that’s a part of you is immensely satisfying. AI will never give you that satisfaction. Ever.

AI will help wood workers make their creativity to a whole another next level.

  32. Canadian Smitty on June 6, 2023 at 1:04 pm

    Very cool video.

  33. Ember Waves on June 6, 2023 at 1:05 pm

I love this channel, I watch pretty much everything you put out and you’ve inspired my guitar making ideas. That being said, AI is taking over everything right now and I’m not sure I’m okay with it πŸ˜… its kinda scary.

  34. Scott Vander Meulen on June 6, 2023 at 1:07 pm

Learning AI woodworking from Papa Smurf. 2023 is looking up

  35. James McClain on June 6, 2023 at 1:07 pm

Very cool. Is there a website where I can mess around with the ai program and try my own projects?

  36. Shakdi Dagalimal on June 6, 2023 at 1:08 pm

Once the towel is wet it will tip over. Don’t say no one gets the towel wet or you don’t have girls in your bathroom.

  38. Jacob Harrison on June 6, 2023 at 1:10 pm

Very cool bro! I really love that one of your design inputs was Sam Maloof, and that the AI knew who he was. I’m stoked to see what you come up with in the future when these AI programs get more flushed out. You, the bandsaw box guy, need to have AI design you a crazy bandsaw box!!

  39. Tom S. Kosmo on June 6, 2023 at 1:11 pm

Why is it that anyone not on board with AI development is "scared"? Is it not possible to think critically about new technology? Do we really need another incredibly energy consuming technology that further alienates people from themselves, each other and their work? What would be the point of doing something as a hobby, like woodworking, and handing over the most fun and creative part to a machine? Does it make the design better? No. Is it more rewarding? No. Do you learn anything valuable about woodworking or design? No. Its just another means for big corporations to monetize and commercialize yet another realm of the human experience.

  40. Canadian Smitty on June 6, 2023 at 1:13 pm

Is that the same turbo plane that Stumpy Nubs almost lost a finger with?

The Michael Scott moment was perfect πŸ˜…

  42. r_nelly on June 6, 2023 at 1:13 pm

AI should be entirely banned outside of incredibly specific scenarios, such as medicine, where it’s has the potential for a net positive for humanity.

  43. Average9joe on June 6, 2023 at 1:14 pm

Dude has a lumber shop in his living room. 😎

  44. Majid Al Qassimi on June 6, 2023 at 1:16 pm

As always innovating on the content and the creative process!!!! So sick and excited for what AI could do for the design process.

  45. Geo Max on June 6, 2023 at 1:17 pm

Design is NO invention. Ai took thousands of pictures and generate a collage of ideas. It does not follow a design process wich involve the human, technical, formal or environmental aspects of and object.

  46. Cantaste Theodor on June 6, 2023 at 1:18 pm

    AI art is ugly AF.

  47. Sean Foushee on June 6, 2023 at 1:18 pm

Love the Donut-esque sponsor spot. Great job on the project, it really came out amazing.

  48. Andy on June 6, 2023 at 1:19 pm

Great idea. Great build. But really no comments about "foreskin marks"?! haha

  49. Mstrlink1 on June 6, 2023 at 1:19 pm

I liked this video not because it involved ai but because it was design on the fly. This is the way I tend to do my project as well. That being said Yes I’d like to see a larger projects done with ai

  50. Johnny West on June 6, 2023 at 1:20 pm

Great video, I love the way it turned out. As for your question of whether this is your design or not, yes, it is. AI is a tool just like a piece of sandpaper is. You used prompts to shape your project with an AI tool AI, buy the way, is about as intelligent as a coin sorter. It’ll be quite a few years before it’s actually able to design something on it’s own.
