  4. Dustin D on August 27, 2023 at 6:42 pm

Wonder why the original fence is so wide in the first place.

  5. Axa Axa on August 27, 2023 at 6:44 pm

It’s really great to see people promoting safety in the shop! Great work mate!

  14. markk2141 on August 27, 2023 at 7:00 pm

That’s why I like my Montgomery ward radial arm saw. It has a full fence and not a giant gap

  15. Klay Jones on August 27, 2023 at 7:02 pm

Also use something else to hold that small piece in place – like the million dollar stick.

  16. Joe's Shows - Classic media and video games on August 27, 2023 at 7:05 pm

That was like $12 in tape

  17. Glenn Platvoet on August 27, 2023 at 7:05 pm

    Nice simple idea for y’all

  18. -11BRAVO- on August 27, 2023 at 7:06 pm

Get a 10 million dollar stick from Tay tools. Great investment. I think I paid $18 for mine.

  19. John Doe on August 27, 2023 at 7:06 pm

    That’s not small

  20. Jeffrey Lyons on August 27, 2023 at 7:08 pm

I like to take the smalls to the cross cut sled

  21. mickelion619 on August 27, 2023 at 7:08 pm

I’ve seen idiots cut their tip of fingers

  22. Lazy Lion on August 27, 2023 at 7:09 pm

I prefer to clamp the sacrificial fence to the saw fence. No residue from the tape that way.
If I have to cut a lot of small pieces, I screw the sacrificial fence to the saw fence.

  23. NeverForsaken on August 27, 2023 at 7:10 pm

Hey, thank you for that tip because I do have small pieces to cut and I’ve done them without anything happening but i do need to cut smaller ones so I am using this idea from now on!🙂

  24. Jose Luis Brache on August 27, 2023 at 7:11 pm

  26. Phantom Warrior on August 27, 2023 at 7:14 pm

You could always clamp the piece down as well

  27. Tim Sharr on August 27, 2023 at 7:15 pm

    That’s brilliant !!!

  28. EUC504 on August 27, 2023 at 7:15 pm

    Good tip

  29. Henry Swanson on August 27, 2023 at 7:20 pm

I usually do those cuts with an angle grinder with the guard removed while riding a unicycle, but your way looks good too.

  30. Jack on August 27, 2023 at 7:21 pm

Hand saws and vices exist. There is no need to do this

  31. G-C General contractor on August 27, 2023 at 7:23 pm

Great tip man well done 👍

  32. JohnnyD on August 27, 2023 at 7:23 pm

Bought my first miter saw the other day, really appreciate these kind of safety tips!

  33. Charles Field on August 27, 2023 at 7:25 pm

    Or use a hand saw

  34. Bruno Bronosky on August 27, 2023 at 7:25 pm

No need to sacrifice the fence. You don’t need the right half. Just butt the wood fence to the blade. But the most important safety measure is the one you didn’t introduce, that 3 legged saw dog at the end.

Bruciare lo strato esterno dei pali non ne aumenterebbe la resistenza nel tempo? Specie per quelli interrati
