    Gorgeous!!!

Great design! I bought your plans and I’m going to give a shot. If you don’t have a nice drum sander like that how to you recommend getting the large glue-up flat? Jack plane? Or maybe install dowels before the glue up to ensure the boards mate perfectly? Thanks!

  3. Some Who Call Me Timbo on May 18, 2022 at 7:32 pm

Thats an interesting colored walnut. Around here in Ohio I usually find a darker, brownish black walnut. Cool build. I’ve been thinking about doing some kind of mid century modern table. How does that dowel jig workout?

  4. Zach on May 18, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Spent my past week building this. It was fun! But some how my base during the glue up for all crooked and now is unlevel and I can’t figure out why

  5. Adriano Vergara on May 18, 2022 at 7:34 pm

One of the best woodworking videos I have seen! Are you from Canada I just noticed the Jet tools.

  6. Christopher Murphy on May 18, 2022 at 7:34 pm

Beautiful! And very helpful video. If I don’t have a miter saw (but do have a miter gauge I can throw on my table saw), nor a planer… do you think this is a project that’s still workable with plywood?

  7. Hal McGinnis on May 18, 2022 at 7:36 pm

    Is yours 3/4"? Looks thicker.

  8. Fennah Woodworking on May 18, 2022 at 7:37 pm

Great build! Looks like foureyes furniture!

  9. Ask Schønning on May 18, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Wooow, I were just searching around for nightstands and then I watched your video and found this…

  10. TetsusaigaDrgn on May 18, 2022 at 7:38 pm

Thought i couldve made this but then i saw all the tools needed…anything simpler?

  11. Praveen Pakianthan on May 18, 2022 at 7:38 pm

    good work

  12. JD Alabama on May 18, 2022 at 7:39 pm

Thanks. Great build. Will try one using curly cherry!

  13. Brian Kinnaman on May 18, 2022 at 7:43 pm

So amazing, man! Great job! (I know it’s like 3 years late. Ha!) I wonder though how many people walked away from this video thinking more about that “card trick” than the actual build…😂 That’s a cool little trick. Thanks for sharing this and keep on rockin! m/

  14. Tom Rolfe on May 18, 2022 at 7:45 pm

    Hi Brad,
I bought your plans for this side table and I’m in the process of building it.
I’m confused where you say cut the top stretchers and the legs at 50 degrees but set your mitre saw to 40 degrees. I have tried both angled cuts and in either case the top stretcher and the leg do not fit together ( ie 2 5/8” across the angles) could you please clarify/ tell me what I’m doing wrong.
    Thanks
    Tom

  15. Steve Siefken on May 18, 2022 at 7:45 pm

Great build! Can you explain the “card trick” you referred to?

  16. Matias Goinheix on May 18, 2022 at 7:46 pm

wtf that card trick is probably as old as Poker and I never seen it before, thanks for that. It will be helpful. Awesome

  17. chicagogirl60647 on May 18, 2022 at 7:47 pm

  24. Blake Haas on May 18, 2022 at 7:51 pm

Loved the design so much I bought the plans. I’m currently building a pair of these out of Aspen. I’m just going to stain it with Minwax Special Walnut.

  25. Cláudio Costa on May 18, 2022 at 7:53 pm

Great video mate! I bought your plans and am now in the process of attempting this built 🙂 . Changed the measurements to cm, so let’s see how it turns out. Your video was the motivation I was missing, so thx for that.

  26. Daniel Heredia on May 18, 2022 at 7:53 pm

Very nice work! I love it 👌🏼

  27. Kevin on May 18, 2022 at 7:54 pm

  28. All American Maker on May 18, 2022 at 7:56 pm

  29. Оксана Малыгина on May 18, 2022 at 7:56 pm

Очень стильный столик/тумба. Вы меня вдохновили.

  30. Andrew Noble on May 18, 2022 at 7:57 pm

Cool project! Is it not problematic to be gluing end grain to end grain for the mitered box?

  31. Robertson Cleto Koerner on May 18, 2022 at 7:58 pm

    Belíssima peça, parabéns!!!!

  32. Mário Jorge Caldeira on May 18, 2022 at 7:59 pm

  34. LOL59hahaha on May 18, 2022 at 8:01 pm

Ok uhmm.. i could start buying a clamp then maybe next year i could buy a table saw… i can make this in 2023 i think. Crossfingers.

  35. M on May 18, 2022 at 8:01 pm

    Wow genius 😮
Thank you for the amazing video 👍

  36. Eloise Camire on May 18, 2022 at 8:01 pm

It would be awesome if you could do a quick tutorial on how to do a matching floating table, with only the top part with drawer and how to attach to the wall. It would make a perfect pair for a minimalist decor. I love walnut so much!

  37. ryan michnya on May 18, 2022 at 8:02 pm

Hey brad I built this for my son and turned out great. I am trying to design a TV stand with same side to top ratio as the top box, but curious how you would handle 14” legs instead of 18” with a box that was 17×48? I cannot design

  38. Don Trumpeta on May 18, 2022 at 8:03 pm

    2:37 soo satisfying!!

  39. ransom on May 18, 2022 at 8:09 pm

Easy only if I had all those tools. I only have a hammer, wood and nails

  40. Neil Archer on May 18, 2022 at 8:10 pm

I built this without even buying the plans

  41. Pan Grendel on May 18, 2022 at 8:10 pm

Do not work on a jointer with gloves on. C’mon.

  42. Bradley Newman on May 18, 2022 at 8:12 pm

One of the best woodworking videos I’ve seen on YouTube, clear and concise, and a beautiful outcome!

  43. ryan michnya on May 18, 2022 at 8:13 pm

Hey brad, bought your plans to make for my sons room. I’m not a newbie to woodworking but never installed drawer slides. I bought the slides you posted link to, any tips for installing?

  44. The Ruckers on May 18, 2022 at 8:15 pm

But wait, where are the pocket holes? Is this allowed?

  45. Lui Cardenas on May 18, 2022 at 8:15 pm

First time trying something in this style??? WOW!!!!! Came out amazing! It’s even eye pleasing to see the top part folding together hehe.

  46. R G on May 18, 2022 at 8:20 pm
