multi-purpose table using 2×4 2×6 [woodworking]
multi-purpose table using 2×4 2×6 [woodworking]
I’m a carpenter in the middle of fifties. Woodworking is far from my major job. I may stand somewhere between hobby carpenter and expert. So my skill hasn’t matured fully and I make many mistakes in the videos. I hope you would forgive me generously.
A late bloomer carpenter’s woodworking diary. This is the motto of my channel. I enjoy making furniture and videos. And using my leisure time I make videos and share how I make and my idea that comes to my mind. Those are sometimes childish and sometimes not too bad. What I want is you just enjoy watching one or two of my videos and fly to other channels better than mine.
I’d like to progress my woodworking skills through struggle to make furniture and videos. And I hope those can help you encouraged for woodworking.
Thanks for reading
As an amateur with woodworker, I typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement. Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans.works I now work like a genius. That is great!
When I saw the slots being made, I didn’t figure it would be for the wood keystone! Cool! It’s to keep the wood pieces, from the "castle" style cut, in place making them more firmer and from jiggling!
you are a great professional
Your work is good. I would have put the middle brace from the top instead of the bottom so there is no chance of someone breaking it off. I like the design, it’s great, but I would have added glue to the top joints. From my experience, several screws from the bottom to the table top is not good because over time they can unscrew and fall out. Should have added glue or even just simply added plugs in the screw holes afterwards.
What a beautiful table, I also love powermatic, very good quality machinery, thank you from Australia…
So very impressive in design and execution. I honor your skills and talent! Cheers!
Great Work!
I love your work, your creativity and attention to detail. I stand with you, somewhere between hobbiest and expert and enjoy the craft. Many thanks for sharing and inspiring.
Thanks for sharing
This is a fabulous workbench build
Your craftsmanship is exquisite! Well designed and executed!
I tried working with 2×4 and 2×6 have all the shop tools to mill them but the wood was so unstable that no matter what I did it would twist out of shape. I would love to work with the stuff because it’s so inexpensive but it’s a huge headache.
super job
tenon and mortise from top of legs to table top would have avoided screws completely… awesome video. i am just learning woodworking myself

Well done young man! I have almost given up woodwork because of my age (88) but I love to see others working at it still.
I luv the joinery and the locks was a Nice touch Ideas for later TY Sir!
Very nice.
Beautiful work, but: the table top can’t move, since it is fixed through the apron with screws. It should be fixed so it can expand and contract. This way it will buckle with the change of moisture, rip those screws out and possibly crack the apron … Floating tennons in the apron along with blocks on the top might be a better option to attach the top.
Your skill is great. One suggestion I would make is to attach the top in a way that would allow the wood to expand and contract. I’m sure you understand what I’m suggesting.
Now that is a great table! Very nice work Sir!
bardzo bardzo pomyslowo fachowo i ladnie gratoluje maister
WOW 👍 Amazing woodwork.
Dear Sir, thanks a lots for this shared video, it is so brilliant, I do appreciate it and wish you more success on your business.
Wow ! Which country are you located?
He sure isn’t very careful where he puts his fingers!
Your craftsmanship and design are well executed.
I wish I could find construction lumber that straight at my local hardware stores.
So much is about having those great tools/workshop
I would have used doug fir rather than white pine just to give it some weight. Fastening the top like that will not allow it to expand and contract with the seasons. You should have grooved the top rails and used cleats to fasten it.
neat
Finger placement while cutting with the circuar saw and router makes me cringe!
you rock||||
The abounding yellow byerly concern because theater karunagappally open for a ill cork. sleepy, snotty path
thanks for sharing that! Very cool use of a table saw to make dovetails. They look like expertly hand cut–but you totally cheated 🙂 I’m stealing that idea for sure.
Sir you are awesome! Where are you from?
Great work, but never put your fingers under the fence of a circular saw. I know several people who have lost parts of their fingers that way.
I like your honesty and like your video in this world of busy you take time to do the job the best of your ability .
Nice work very informative I love this work
When you can tell a person has been doing this type of work for way too long… Excellent video and skills.
this looks like lab, not carpenter workshop
Great Job! Always a pleasure to watch skill in motion.
