Think your vac is louder than the saw

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this table saw. I’m thinking of getting a table saw for woodworking as a hobby and this seems like a good option when you consider the cost against how well it does the job. I’m not sure I can justify spending more as a beginner woodworker.

You mentioned it can take some time to cut through materials. Do you think changing the blade could help with that?

great review although I hated the standard fence as there is play and the fixing handle is inadequate. I made my own fence and 45 degree mitre guage.

  6. vanster on August 17, 2022 at 12:39 am

i got the same one but the fence moves a few mill on the far end. its quite annoying let me know if you find a aftermarket fence that’s any good that doesn’t move

Have you bought any blades for this saw? If so what did you go for and where did you buy it

    I’d class it as aDIY’er’s saw. 👍🏻🇬🇧

Great idea moving the scale across! I had my Titan for 4 years when starting out

I got this tablesaw & the fence broke the first time I used it. Front metal part snapped clean off. Took it back got another & it stayed in the box for a year & I ended up buying a dewalt 7491.
    Just subbed

Very good review, sir. Most makers supply their saws with inexpensive blades. A good quality blade will make a saw a whole lot quieter. That style of saw is known as a "benchtop" saw. Some come with stands, some don’t. Benchtop TS’s are generally lightly constructed (lots of plastic) to reduce weight, but some benchtop TS makers produce saws that are fairly heavy.

Great review, thanks for taking the time to record and share it.

Great review. I have a load of shelving to cut down and fit so I have just bought this. I only need it for occasional use and it is a bargain and will pay for itself on my first job. Titan are great value for people that are on a budget.

Thank you for a very informative and interesting video, very well explained and presented, I have picked up a few tips in your set up, which I will try on my Titan saw today.
    Thank you again
    Take care
    Sam

    Hey,

Thanks for the video. Bought one of these myself. When it comes to making the sled/jig you showed in the video, how do you attach it to the sliding grooves on the saw? I’m a complete beginner so have no idea what technical words are.

I’m looking to make a jig to make picture frames as the mitre jig is crap. Hunting for any tips etc.

*Just completed a big trim project on my house **MyBest.Tools** Performed very well. Also appreciate how easy it is to move, set up and store with the integrated stand. No more cutting wood on my knees.*

Very messy workshop. I’ve not seen a messier one 😬

  21. Dobbsy London on August 17, 2022 at 1:05 am

Mitre guage, make a tighter fit with electrical tape.

  22. 95Gabe on August 17, 2022 at 1:08 am

Check on Gumtree etc for the big Dysons. The clutch goes and the rollers stop, people sell them quite cheap. Vaccuum still works like a charm.

Hi I’m a beginner and will be cutting large sheets… Cud you do a video on how to adjust it like yours x

  25. Leo James on August 17, 2022 at 1:12 am

Hi there, thanks for the info. I’ve never used a table saw before. Would the blade be able to be lowered so much that I could cut grooves of about 1- 2 millimeter depth?

  26. Toto Guy on August 17, 2022 at 1:12 am

thanks for the review i have the titan 8 inch bench grinder its a bit of a beast its not fantastic but for 39.99 it is pretty damn good

  27. 95Gabe on August 17, 2022 at 1:15 am

For extraction, check out your local gumtree for an old Dyson. Usually people sell them cheap because the roller brush is knackered so you can pick them up cheap.
