Buying flex was the best investment chervon has made to the kobalt line.

  2. Brad Gregory on July 8, 2023 at 2:16 pm

I love Kobolt! Just wish they had this before I bought my Ryobi.

  3. Chris Cruz on July 8, 2023 at 2:17 pm

Get your hands on the 18g 24v kobalt nailer

  4. Spooky Rambo on July 8, 2023 at 2:18 pm

When are they coming out with a nail gun.

  5. Paul Mcwilliams on July 8, 2023 at 2:18 pm

    And skill

  6. joseph harper on July 8, 2023 at 2:19 pm

I like them Iv been using them tall this year and last year and they have been working great! Im a handyman on the side. I was very surprised on how fast they blew up as well and I was even more surprised how well everything performs

I love my kobalt tools, I hope Lowe’s really invests in the line and doesn’t try to push Craftsman cause it would be a huge mistake.
If they would make some nailers and a packout style system (that doesn’t look corny and cheap) they would leave the pack behind, for the price and quality of tools, you just can’t beat it.

  8. Jonathan Levi on July 8, 2023 at 2:20 pm

I miss Kobalt…I got a job in carpentry so I switched to Milwaukee. If Kobalt comes out with a framing nailer, I switch back!

  9. KYEONGJOON HAN on July 8, 2023 at 2:23 pm

The biggest problem is kobalt is not consistent and compatible. I have 20v Kobalt tools, and the charger is dead. I cannot find replacement any more. If I buy 24v tools and they discontinue them, all tools will be garbage.

Good stuff! Miss the ttr streams.

I bought the 6 tool Kobalt kit with roller bag 13.5 months ago as I wanted to get into woodworking and building more around the house. Could not have been happier with my decision. Hitting above their price-point weight big time!

Just wish they’d expanded their line quicker as I jumped on the handheld router and brad nailer from Ryobi out of necessity. Looking forward to the future tho and upgrading to the XTR line eventually.

  12. Mitchell Armyguy on July 8, 2023 at 2:28 pm

It really upset me to see Lowes attempting to charge Top Tier Tool prices for the house brand. I was looking around comparing to the other brands and you might as well get your favorite top tier tool because Kobalt will only save you about 5-10 bucks.

  13. Phil Kenyon on July 8, 2023 at 2:30 pm

could you run a comparison of the Ryobi router to kobalt router?

  14. THE ARMOUR OF LIGHT on July 8, 2023 at 2:30 pm

Bought one today, they had dewalt and metabo but this was identical almost and a better buy with two batteries and charger on sale, they threw in a free kobalt buffer/polisher! Can beat that, so yea, thanks for the review. I think kobalt is a good tool company at least for a few items now in their lineup!

    Love team blue 🔵🔵🔵🔵

  16. William van Gils on July 8, 2023 at 2:34 pm

My first Kobalt was a compound mitre saw, under $129.00 on sale. After putting it through it paces, I started switching over to the Kobalt line of tools. More money in my pockets and couldn’t care less about bragging rights.

@vcg Construction hey vince and the gang i went to my home depot today they are clearances out the corded stuff … the mag 77 by skill is 160 not 199 and most other circular saws are at a lower price too ..

  18. Chase Barnard on July 8, 2023 at 2:37 pm

Been watching these videoa on XTR. Apparently I’ve fallen behind on my tool news. I’m still deciding between the Ridgid, Dewalt XR and these. Thanks for the clarity.

  21. Nate C on July 8, 2023 at 2:40 pm

Hey Vince, this kobalt router vs the milwaukee which do you like more?

  22. jason noble on July 8, 2023 at 2:40 pm

I got this router free with purchasing the 4ah battery+ charger kit at Christmas and it’s one of my favorite tools! Just picked up the xtr 7-1/4 circ saw for $109, can’t wait to cut some sh** up!

  23. bgymr on July 8, 2023 at 2:42 pm

I have one. I use it all the time. I installed my kitchen cabinets in my old and out of square house. The high point of the cabinets was so high that it made sense to bring it down. I have old oak floors from the early 1900. I routered down a half inch over an area of 2 square feet. The router did it on one battery. I was impressed.

I also have the cordless vac. The router hooks up to the vac and i have a cordless dust freeish router setup.

  24. Ryan Montgomery on July 8, 2023 at 2:43 pm

The Kobalt tool platform simply can’t be beat, I’ve had my set for over a year and they never disappoint. Just keep adding to the collection. This router is on the list.

  25. Mr Welshi on July 8, 2023 at 2:43 pm

I love the Kobalt line of tools, I really wish Lowe’s would stay true to their home brand and treat them with the same respect that Home Depot treats Husky.
I think there’s a good future in store for Kobalt, especially within their power tool line. I’m looking forward to see what they have in store (puns lmao) for us over the next year or two because so far they have been nothing less than impressive.
My only critique is some of their hand tools are lacking in the quality standards set by their power tool line, and price. However I will happily deal with a slight drop in quality for a tool brand that I genuinely believe in. Honestly if they could just match Craftsman in quality I truly believe that Kobalt would soon be the dominant color in the isle, and thats not a far off goal to achieve.I really hope that Kobalt maintains this linear improvement and that it echoes across their whole product line.

  26. tattoochef82 82 on July 8, 2023 at 2:43 pm

I like my koblat tools. Im a little disheartened that lowes is pushing more and more craftsman in my area. Personally think kobalt has better quality. And definitely a better warranty. At least with the mechanics tools I buy.

When you will test MAKITA DF001GM201 XGT, 40Vmax, 140Nm

    ???

  28. Grumpy718 on July 8, 2023 at 2:47 pm

I just got mine from Lowe’s which I didn’t know how to use it and I appreciate you doing a video about it. Thank you so much .. im gonna love it if it does what you showed.

  29. Will Black on July 8, 2023 at 2:51 pm

Just went and bought that. You should see my kobalt French cleat wall…

  30. Cade Baker on July 8, 2023 at 2:53 pm

I added the one of these little gems to my kobalt collection today, used it tonigjt and it worked flawlessly!!

  31. GatorWing on July 8, 2023 at 2:55 pm

I purchased one but don’t know why. Don’t need a portable router. Just a compulsive buyer for blue stuff 🤣

  32. GAB JAW on July 8, 2023 at 2:56 pm

It looks like a makita knock off

  33. N English on July 8, 2023 at 2:56 pm

I’ve dumped every battery tool I have and replaced them all with Kobalt. 🖕 all the other overpriced stuff, it’s the same chinese made crap in a different wrapper. Their batteries are cheaper too.

  34. Anger Tone on July 8, 2023 at 2:57 pm

that rack and pinion shit is bull. I can’t get that shit to spin at all lol

  35. Wang Chung on July 8, 2023 at 2:57 pm

Got mine for free by purchasing the battery combo kit for $129. Needed the batteries so I just took a chance and I have not been disappointed with that little thing. Love it. Love my Kobalt in general.

  36. Lynne Tonn on July 8, 2023 at 2:57 pm

I LOVE Kolbalt. I’m a beginner so cost was a big factor and I haven’t had any issues.

  37. a bit of everything on July 8, 2023 at 2:58 pm

Hey buddy. Can you make a video on the kobalt drywall screw gun. Please

  38. David Shirk on July 8, 2023 at 2:58 pm

I got the four tool package (drill driver, resip saw, and work light) for $200 a couple of months ago. GREAT tools. All do just what I need. I can’t wait to pick up the new trim router!

  39. Y D on July 8, 2023 at 2:58 pm

He got me with the safety glasses. I was thinking”wow I’ve never seen safety glasses provided with a power tool before “.

  40. Paul Mcwilliams on July 8, 2023 at 3:01 pm

One thing I like about cobalt is there made by same peaple as flex

  41. Dj Keys on July 8, 2023 at 3:02 pm

Haven’t used mine yet but og will be my first cut on my sub box edges

  42. Eugene Carr on July 8, 2023 at 3:02 pm

I have been using them since the 24vlt came out. I am definitely bias but for the price i love them. The warrenty is what really makes my tools worth it. I tried the craftsman and did not like it at all. With just getting the lawnmower I can’t imagine changing now they work really well for my purposes.

  43. Ralph Crabtree on July 8, 2023 at 3:04 pm

Does Kobalt have a plunge base for this cordless router ?

  44. Tc_kidsolo on July 8, 2023 at 3:05 pm

I have used that router it’s sweet better then ridgid octane version I am just saying don’t eaiter ones but have a friend who has the ridgid for work uses it every day I don’t need one everyday so I have a old school Craftsman plunge router made in the US ball bearing is professional got a long time ago from my father he got it new still runs I do the basic maintenance replace the car from brushes the bearings are perfect I use Bosch router bits but I don’t need your own daily basis once in a while but I’m thinking of going cordless and I don’t know if what I should do because I’m in ridgid’s platform more then bosch I do have dewalt older Nicad tools a nice set like 23 years old most of it Vince @vcgconstruction

  45. Paul Trimble on July 8, 2023 at 3:06 pm

Vince will it fit in older craftsman router table. The ole triangle 3 screw set up thanks

  47. Steve Roe on July 8, 2023 at 3:07 pm

  48. John L. Davis on July 8, 2023 at 3:10 pm

Dude – unless my eyes deceive- at 9:53 in this video you grab the guard with your hand – We call this the “remove my knuckle” maneuver “

Going to music just when the tool is going to work?! No good bro, the music the tool makes is what we want to hear!
