Excuse me… Can I let go of the horses now?

  2. Dennis Dubin on February 18, 2022 at 10:42 pm

Very nice work. I should be able to adapt your design to make a pair of end tables for either side of my living room sofa.

  3. Dru Darby on February 18, 2022 at 10:42 pm

Man I love your work! Glad I found your channel!!

  4. Red Solo Cup on February 18, 2022 at 10:43 pm

I suspect your version of "winging it" is ten-fold accurate/better than my version of "detailed measurement" haha… Awesome project.

  5. Bruce A. Ulrich on February 18, 2022 at 10:43 pm

ha ha…all of the good slogans are taken! That’s a handsome bedside table!

  6. Geoff Kuhn on February 18, 2022 at 10:44 pm

You do a really great job. And I love Walnut. Matter of fact, Walnut, and Osage Orange are my favorite woods to work.

  7. Simon Hale on February 18, 2022 at 10:45 pm

Now you just need an Unnecessary Walnut™️ headboard 🤣

  8. Branden on February 18, 2022 at 10:47 pm

Nice job. Looks cool. I see a matching headboard coming soon 🤣

  9. Sam Mathis on February 18, 2022 at 10:50 pm

  12. marsniper27 on February 18, 2022 at 10:56 pm

I have the same issue with the only outlet on wife’s side of the bed. I was going to build a outlet into our Ikea bedframe to solve the issue.

  13. John Schaefer on February 18, 2022 at 10:58 pm

    Nice build and great book.

  14. oojagapivy on February 18, 2022 at 10:59 pm

Heard about this build on the podcast, then saw this in my feed today. Sucks about the drawer slide gaff. Like you said, next time.

  20. Vintauri on February 18, 2022 at 11:06 pm

Looks great! Love the projects where you just grab some material and dive in! I love visiting the Rockler store in Burnsville. I picked up my SawStop there among other tools and supplies. I try to get up there once a month just to browse and restock. It’s like my grown-up toy store!

  21. Jeremy Brain on February 18, 2022 at 11:09 pm

Nice nightstand it looks really good. Well done

  22. TheTranq on February 18, 2022 at 11:12 pm

Great looking night stand. You think the Blum undermount are better than the soft close Centerline?

  23. Mr Hockey on February 18, 2022 at 11:13 pm

I just recently got into woodworking and found a rockler in Michigan but its far from my house but! Close to my work lol needless to say my lunches have been spent there a few times. Love the way walnut looks and I might have to try out this project some day

  24. mahendar gunpal on February 18, 2022 at 11:13 pm

"Just hold your horses" lol. Great video! I have considered the undermount slides I just haven’t pulled the trigger on them yet.

  26. Tharemy Hopkins on February 18, 2022 at 11:17 pm

Looks great! Extra charging and power is always a bonus. PS, you may want to seek a sock sponsor 😉

  27. Longhorn Workshop on February 18, 2022 at 11:17 pm

  30. BrokenLead WoodWorks on February 18, 2022 at 11:22 pm

  31. Andrew Mellors on February 18, 2022 at 11:23 pm

Do you worship or are you a rocklicker 🤔🤔🤔

  32. Keagan Bowen on February 18, 2022 at 11:23 pm

Is there a specific name for the style of the table top and how you connected the surface piece to the tops of the legs? Looking to research more about this style. Great work also!

  33. D Scott on February 18, 2022 at 11:23 pm

Great looking Nightstand! I’m a big fan of Walnut!

  34. Scott Simpey on February 18, 2022 at 11:24 pm

That looks superb. I’ve had plans all drawn up on paper; haven’t gotten the hang of sketch up or other CAD programs yet haha; for a night stand for probably a year and a half but have yet to get started on it lol. Very nice looking piece though. .

  35. Jonathan Katz-Moses on February 18, 2022 at 11:25 pm

    Great stuff bud

  36. Chris Simonton on February 18, 2022 at 11:25 pm

Nice. I like the dual shelf.

  37. Log House Farm on February 18, 2022 at 11:26 pm

I too am positioned nowhere near an outlet, and I am constantly tripping over extension cords… I like the electrical in the nightstand… I may just try that one day!

  38. Charles on February 18, 2022 at 11:27 pm

Very nice, I would add a chamfer on the drawer fronts just for aesthetics sake.

  39. katelyn huynh on February 18, 2022 at 11:27 pm

could u give measurements? thinking of doing this for a school project!

  40. Joseph Pilon on February 18, 2022 at 11:27 pm

That’s a good looking shirt in the beginning of the video! Always happy to see support for the Public Lands!

7:40 But I do not have any horses.

  44. Innocent_Bystander on February 18, 2022 at 11:29 pm

I got rid of a traditional alarm clock years ago and have used my phone. I can change the tone for when I get too used to it and have that dream of a sound I can’t get rid of, can set a much more advanced schedule for when necessary, and it will work without needing an extra 9v installed in case the power goes out. I’d say I wouldn’t need to adjust it either, but the last traditional alarm clock I had, would set the time itself when you plugged it in.

  45. Sammy Salem on February 18, 2022 at 11:29 pm

Looks great Mark. I really like your logical method of approaching joints and glue ups. Makes it all seem effortless

  46. Kevin Urbeck on February 18, 2022 at 11:30 pm

“All the corners fit nice with no gaps.” That must be nice, can’t say I’ve ever had that happen

  47. Hugo Danilo on February 18, 2022 at 11:31 pm

I like the design but I think the toekick is missing. Easy to add and makes the base a little more functional. Maybe for 2.0

  48. Заур Неважно on February 18, 2022 at 11:32 pm

    Good

  49. Jason Bailey on February 18, 2022 at 11:37 pm

I’ve been trying to find a design for a nightstand that I like. I kept thinking about the traditional shelf on the bottom and drawer on the top, but I like the functionality of the two flat surfaces high and the drawers below. Now that’s "finger lickin’ good" 😉

  50. HotSnot TaterTot on February 18, 2022 at 11:39 pm

I like the design. Trying to scale it. So the bottom open shelf is about the height of the bed (to hold/see alarm clock) and the top is about 6-8" higher for knick knack stuff?

Are you happy with that or would you change it in future builds?
