Love this jig, super convenient and a great idea! Thanks for the build!
I found a nice piece of three quarters inch plywood last night clearing a barn full of great stuff. Junk to others . Excellent advice. Thanks

Or if you have a track saw, just cut one edge with the track saw…
I didn’t realize how amusing watching you work in super fast speed was.
What is the advantage to using this or using an actual jointer? Can’t you get a straight edge just putting a board tight to the table saw fence and ripping it without this jig? I’m not hating at all this is a genuine question from someone who’s delving into finish work now after being a career framer. Love the channel by the way it’s helped me lots already!
Suggestion to put a dado cut under sled w a runner. That way you arent using your table saw fence and have alot less chance of kickback- assuming your cut piece isnt flat (which is why you need a jointer in the 1st place). Otherwise just use a circular saw w track attachment or track saw if you have one.
Where do you get your pencils? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nice simple jig. Good job, Matt
"All you need is 3/4 plywood, two microjigs and a 14 degree dovetail router bit"… then immediately proceeds to use a ripsaw, router, tape measures, bench, pen, setsquare, chopsaw, chamfer bit, sander, wax, tablesaw. This reminds me of my rich, funny, good looking buddy telling me that you just need confidence to get a girl.
Dovetail bit is crying for sharpening!
Do all your edge chamfering before you cut all your dovetail grooves so you don’t tear up all your clamp entry points with the router bit.
Why are you using those annoying, spastic subtitles on your videos? It makes the video unwatchable and many people simply scroll down to the next video.
I like the part where he showed us how to use it and what it’s for
Made this and it has made cutting a straight edge so much easier and quicker. Also just using this on the workbench to clamp things and hold pieces in place while using a router etc . However its warped immediately
Just built mine last week
Gotta get into the shop and build myself one of these. Excellent!

Replied to a fellow below, might benefit others:
You would need this jig to get a straight edge on a tablesaw if your workpiece didn’t have a straight edge to run against the fence.
For example, a board with a warped convex edge would rock against the fence as you pushed it. Not a good cut and also dangerous.
Or, if you’re working with rough lumber that doesn’t have a straight line rip from your supplier, you wouldn’t have a reliable, perfectly flat and straight edge to run against the fence. This jig is what you’d use (or a jointer) to get that perfectly flat edge on one side, then ditch the jig or jointer, put that newly cut flat side against your tablesaw fence, and cut your piece as normal.
Yeah but like how exactly does that joint and make flat sided demonstration pls
Nice jig! Thanks man
