The small fidldly work on a project always takes the longest

  2. Debra Price on January 23, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Pull the milking stand a couple of inches away from the wall. She had a little more space before you ship lapped the wall. The boards are right in her face.

Willow is going into polystyrene withdrawal 😚

  4. Keri Clearwater on January 23, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Hi Al and Gina, the milking room looks terrific!
We have about 75-100 birds and we keep them penned up like you do, but we let them out later in the afternoon to peck and forage. We feel its safer for them (we have to worry a lot about owls, hawks and other large birds) because they are only out for a few hours as opposed to all day. At night, they put themselves away and we just go out and close up the doors before full dark.
As and added precaution, we keep a small .22 handy incase there is an attack.
We keep geese, ducks, Guinea fowl (very noisy)and a few different breeds of chickens.

  5. Albin Rodriguez on January 23, 2022 at 9:24 pm

The the pigs live!!! And let the chickens free!!! And what about the bucks???

  6. Toni Bishop on January 23, 2022 at 9:25 pm

Is little man going in with the boys ?

  7. Sue Mitchell on January 23, 2022 at 9:26 pm

Moose is the man! Moose says Al, if you leave us in the pasture for the winter, the snow will be so deep Moose will be hidden in the snow if I come out of New Yolk City. I will fall thrust the snow and freeze to death. Al what would you do without The Moose to help you look after the ladies?

  8. Debra Price on January 23, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Release the chickens!! WHO LET THE HENS OUT. WHO, WHO, WHO, WHO

  9. morganjones1966 on January 23, 2022 at 9:33 pm

  10. MaKaPaLa Trace on January 23, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Have you ever figured the total cost for raising out the pigs including initial purchase?

  11. Daniel Burgess on January 23, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Free Range often translates into ‘Buffet.’

  12. dirck Duncan on January 23, 2022 at 9:34 pm

You only have one chance with the details look simply marvelous to me

  13. Kristina C on January 23, 2022 at 9:34 pm

Wouldn’t they lay eggs everywhere if you let them free range?

  14. Nikke Lewis on January 23, 2022 at 9:34 pm

I think it would be great to see the 🐔🐓’s free-range before it gets too cold. Also I think it’d be very interesting to see how they interact with the goats🐐 Although I don’t know how they feel about Tanner running around in the pasture lol

  15. Karbent on January 23, 2022 at 9:36 pm

I’d be really interested to know what you do with all those eggs every day. 16-18 a day must surely be too many for a family of three? Sorry if you’ve already told us. Love your channel. I tune in every day.

  21. Thom Stevens on January 23, 2022 at 9:44 pm

Put a 1/4 round molding in the corners.

  22. Dona 4 Him on January 23, 2022 at 9:44 pm

Willow needs a little more room between her head and the wall. I didn’t like that either and I’d feel a bit cramped too! It’s not that she wouldn’t but she couldn’t eat cause she couldn’t get her head in there to eat! 🙃

  23. Caitlin Forbes on January 23, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Free range nyc because they will always come back to the coop. As long as the holes in the border fence aren’t big enough for them to get out onto he road

  24. The Turczi vlogs on January 23, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Gina if u see this elderberry syrup 2xs a day if u can’t get in bulk any Walmart CVS Walgreens and such has it but I’m sure u and Al can make batch’s urself but 1tsp 2xs a day will help and finally will after about 2 or 3 weeks help ur immune system where u won’t get sick anymore my family takes it everyday and nite.

  25. D Francois on January 23, 2022 at 9:46 pm

I would definitely let the chickens free range till winter.

  26. Mitchell Gourley on January 23, 2022 at 9:46 pm

Are you going to eat the goats

  27. Graham Orm on January 23, 2022 at 9:47 pm

Make a block as thick as the widest part of the gap that you’re scribing. Tape it to your pencil, run the block along the ceiling and the pencil along the wood you’re cutting and it will fit perfectly first time. Or do it how carpenters do it with a pair of compasses set to the widest part of the gap. Standard practice.

  28. BridolMandy on January 23, 2022 at 9:49 pm

The goats love the rocks so much could you move a couple of big ones inside the pasture for them?  Willow is so funny, it probably smelt very different with all the pine on the walls now

  29. angela sheppard on January 23, 2022 at 9:49 pm

If you free range the chickens, how would they interact with the goats free ranging.

  30. Maxid1 on January 23, 2022 at 9:51 pm

3:14 I was pretty sure Willow would chew on the wall, and then she did.

  31. MICHELE STAPLES on January 23, 2022 at 9:54 pm

Im suprised you havent moved the pigs.

  32. Mark Flajsner on January 23, 2022 at 9:54 pm

not just butchering the meat may be easier during the colder months of the year but also you don’t have to salt it as much as it spoils less when its cold.

  33. BridolMandy on January 23, 2022 at 9:55 pm

I vote free range the chickens till the winter sets in

  34. MICHELE STAPLES on January 23, 2022 at 9:55 pm

Noooo move NYC . theyve had predictors around the black copper Morans. Free ranging will invite CWCs murderer back :(. The door is already automatic… You dont hand milk anymore… Someones getting ….. Spoiled?

  35. saqib khan on January 23, 2022 at 9:58 pm

Don’t open them full just increase their fencing area.

  36. gus alvarez on January 23, 2022 at 9:59 pm

free range might be better for them.

  37. Cyndee Collings on January 23, 2022 at 10:00 pm

Al you need to eat a tablespoon of honey every day it will help your nose. There is something in the honey that your nose likes lol. I give it to my kids every winter. If you get a chest cold get some fresh lemons cut them up at room temp boil them then drain put the liquid back in the pan and sweeten it with raw honey, that is another great job for honey. Love your videos stay safe and god bless

  41. Happy Hippie on January 23, 2022 at 10:04 pm

You’re installing that shiplap upside down. Each course is supposed to "lap" over the last course. Water is supposed to shed off of it, not hit a gap and be directed to the studs.

  42. Toni Bishop on January 23, 2022 at 10:07 pm

    Free range yesss 😊

  43. L & M Farms on January 23, 2022 at 10:08 pm

You should of been here on our farm in Chattaroy WA near Spokane WA. we got 4 inches of snow on Saturday September 28 and another 2 inches on Sunday, we set a record, the previous record was set on September 1926 with 14 inches.

  44. Sue Mitchell on January 23, 2022 at 10:08 pm

Move them to the greenhouse for the winter because of the snow.

  45. William T. Musil on January 23, 2022 at 10:08 pm

Hiya Al. That tape measure paper cut,? you may do this already but if not, use super glue (CA glue). Any brand will do, makes an awesome liquid bandage.
