    You should make a biriyani!

  3. Edward Dutra on February 13, 2023 at 4:36 am

    OK full disclosure…
    I like your videos
    I honestly love your videos

But …. Trio de katsu station????
Is this a Spanish Japanese combination?

Just saying seems a bit weird

  4. Idk on February 13, 2023 at 4:38 am

  5. Jomm on February 13, 2023 at 4:39 am

  6. aizan9219 on February 13, 2023 at 4:40 am

The lone carrot made it in. Cries.

  7. D & B WATX on February 13, 2023 at 4:40 am

You forgot to make the daikon pickles that accompany Japanese curry. Pork adds more flavor than chicken in curry. A beef curry is also more elegant and sophisticated as well.

  8. rodrigo strob on February 13, 2023 at 4:41 am

I loved the theme of this episode! Totally think you should do more videos on pre packed grocery store items that can be made at home

  9. Felipe Stevens on February 13, 2023 at 4:41 am

so hungry now, looks so great

  10. The Millennial Gardener on February 13, 2023 at 4:42 am

I love curries, but hardly make them. I want to, and then I realize I never have half the spices despite an overflowing 6 ft tall spice rack. If you have fennel powder on hand, you rock 👊

  11. FatSongsong and ThinErmao on February 13, 2023 at 4:45 am

    looks so appetizing

  12. Nathaniel Boone on February 13, 2023 at 4:46 am

    “Two shots of shirodashi”

  13. OhBadge Whuh on February 13, 2023 at 4:47 am

I don’t understand how that is hollandaise. He took his curry and just added so much butter.

  14. Bonnie parker on February 13, 2023 at 4:50 am

    Please make hibachi next! ❤

  15. Alex Castro on February 13, 2023 at 4:51 am

where do you get the curry powder?

  16. Grayzel FX on February 13, 2023 at 4:51 am

Good lord the B-roll on this one is orgasmic…

  17. Rejick Mukherjee on February 13, 2023 at 4:54 am

Make the Japanese curry powder too

  18. Will Brock on February 13, 2023 at 4:55 am

I enjoyed this recipe most when simply replacing the chicken with the pork katsu and putting that with the first section. Such a good combo

  19. Hayden Griffith on February 13, 2023 at 4:59 am

The curry brick industry is gonna send Josh a cease and desist lmao

  20. Dirk on February 13, 2023 at 4:59 am

You are an artist. I am soooo going to make this Curry. Thank you.

  21. Cassandra Miller on February 13, 2023 at 5:00 am

This is my favorite dishes to make I literally made it this week

  22. FumblesOBrian on February 13, 2023 at 5:01 am

I respect you josh, but if chef morimoto recommends using the premade stuff, that’s what imma do

  23. Matt Kuhn on February 13, 2023 at 5:01 am

You can tell Josh was restaurant-trained because of the sheer overwhelming quantity of butter this recipe involves.

  24. Kevin H on February 13, 2023 at 5:03 am

"Japanese curry powder" – literally never seen that in the shops before.
You always tell us to make everything (even the bread) from scratch.
Tell us how to make the curry powder oh wise lord! 😅

  25. whipmiller on February 13, 2023 at 5:05 am

Ketchup? And i bought ur cookbook… dude… ur stretching… just make it good

  26. Vix on February 13, 2023 at 5:05 am

josh: packaged curry cubes are so much less flavorful!!!!
also josh: i added nearly all my roux-

  27. Hikaru on February 13, 2023 at 5:05 am

I like making a roux with curry powder, garam masala, and a little bit of cumin. Japanese curry was the first "actual dish" that I ever made on my own.

  28. Dom on February 13, 2023 at 5:07 am

THANK U FOR THIS! ive always wondered how to make it without the instant curry packets

  29. Zulu Lima on February 13, 2023 at 5:09 am

Josh, i wish you would take a look at sodium levels in food. we eat far far FAR too much sodium in this country.

  30. Slainshadow42 on February 13, 2023 at 5:09 am

Ngl… that that hollandaise setup looks 🔥🔥🔥

  31. Giddy G on February 13, 2023 at 5:11 am

  36. Fudgilator on February 13, 2023 at 5:15 am

Been trying to find a proper japanese curry recipe for a while. Super happy to see this drop into my feed

  37. Exiled New Yorker on February 13, 2023 at 5:19 am

I tried imported japanese curry squares and Did it just like they said, and OMG it was ungodly levels of sweet. even over rice.

  38. Lyonessa Deveaux on February 13, 2023 at 5:20 am

How about curry bread? 🙂 My fav use of leftover curry

  39. HellMuT on February 13, 2023 at 5:21 am

Damn, making a roux doesn’t look that bad. I’m still gonna use prepackaged tho.

  40. Le chefy on February 13, 2023 at 5:22 am

Holden curry is literally king it says on the box too add shit

  41. FishNChicken on February 13, 2023 at 5:22 am

Haven’t watched the video yet, but Jamaican curry is superior.

    You should make biryani

  44. UppityG Livestockian on February 13, 2023 at 5:26 am

As an American with an American wife (we’re both part white), we don’t do Euroweenie metrics. Not for cooking. Bridges, rockets, maybe baking, ok, yeah sure. Not for cooking. Glad you also do as @TastingHistory does, lists both measurement systems. Your own country’s traditions hurt no one and are still quite viable (not holding anyone back). The Metric system does not allow for personal tastes or nuances. It’s __too__ precise. Humans aren’t that way. Great stuff amigo.

    bruh

  46. SHDWDRAGON7 on February 13, 2023 at 5:28 am

Gotta downvote just for talking smack on Golden Curry

  47. Dopp Creations on February 13, 2023 at 5:30 am

Golden Curry is the worst. Vermont and Java are the way to go. Vermont for a sweet base, Java for savory/spicy. Follow Josh’s instructions but use either of these if you don’t have time to make your own roux and you will be happy.

  48. sesquipedalianism on February 13, 2023 at 5:34 am

So in order to make my own curry sauce, I need curry to make curry?
