PM Hasina opens Bangladesh’s longest bridge over River Padma
Bangladesh has officially opened its longest bridge, linking the capital, Dhaka, and the southwest.
The nearly $4bn project suffered cost overruns and delays after the World Bank pulled funding following allegations of corruption.
The bridge was eventually funded domestically and built by China.

স্বপ্নের পদ্মা সেতুর খবর আজ বিশ্ব দরবারে। নিশ্চয় এটার গুরুত্ব কতটোকো তা এই প্রতিবেদনে বুঝা যায়। এই আল-জাজিরা টিভিতে শেখ হাসিনা সরকারের সমালোচনা করা হয়েছে, আর আজ সেই আলজেরিয়ায় আজ বঙ্গবন্ধুর কন্যা মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী দূরদর্শী নেতা শেখ হাসিনার প্রশংসা করছে। এটাই হলো আওয়ামী লীগ। তাকে মাঝেমধ্যে অনেকে কালিমা লেপন করতে চাইলেও পরে আর সেটার ভিত্তি এবং প্রমাণ হয় না। এই পদ্মা সেতু নিয়ে দূর্নীতির তথাকথিত কাল্পনিক অভিযোগ তুলেছিলো বিশ্বব্যাংক, কিন্তু কানাডার আদালতে মিথ্যা প্রমাণিত হয়েছিল। বঙ্গবন্ধুর আমলে বলা হয়েছিলো সব দূর্নীতি করে শেষ করেছে বঙ্গবন্ধু পরিবার ও দল।কই বঙ্গবন্ধু হত্যার পরে তো কোন তথ্য জানা গেলো না, বলা হয়েছিল নৌকা মার্কায় ভোট দিলো মসজিদে ওলু ধ্বনি বাজছে, কই আজ তারা,। বলা হলো নৌকা মার্কায় ভোট দিলে ভারতের কাছে বাংলাদেশ বিক্রি হয়ে যাবে, কই আজ তারা,। ২০০১ সালে বরাইগ্রাম ভারতের বাহিনীকে মেরে এবং ধরে পিলখানায় এনেছে। খালেদা জিয়া বলেছিলেন আওয়ামী লীগের আমলে পদ্মা সেতু হবে না, এই সেতুতে কেউ উঠতে যাবেন না অনেক রিস্ক আছে। আজ তারা কোথায়,। গত ৩০ মে ২০২২ ফখরুল কালের কন্ঠ পত্রিকায় লিখেছেন জিয়া স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণা করেছিলেন ২৬ তারিখে, অথচ একই পএিকায় বিএনপির নেতা খায়রুল কবির খোকন কলামে লিখলেন জিয়া বঙ্গবন্ধুর পক্ষে ইংরেজিতে স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন ২৭ তারিখে।তাদের শরিক নেতা ইব্রাহিম বীরপ্রতীক তিনি বলেছেন জিয়া বঙ্গবন্ধুর পক্ষে ইংরেজিতে স্বাধীনতার ঘোষণা করেন ২৭ তারিখে। আর কিছুদিন আগে ফখরুল বললেন জিয়া প্রথম নারী মুক্তি যুদ্ধা। তারও আগে ভারতের বিজেপি নেতা অমিত শাহকে নিয়ে মিথ্যা তথ্য দিয়েছিল বিএনপি, আমেরিকার চারজন কনগ্রেসের স্বাক্ষর ঝাল করেছিলো বিএনপি, জিএসপি নিয়ে মিথ্যাচার করেছিল বিএনপি, খালেদা জিয়া যে কয়েকবার জন্ম নিয়েছিলেন, তা আজ প্রমাণিত। ভুয়া জন্মদিন পালন করতে গিয়ে আজ মানুষের কাছে ধরা।
