Guess what I have this plane not a problem, funny thing the human eye will pick up light from the smallest crack, your rebate or piece of wood will not even register that gap. You are nit picking. That plane is about $120 Aud it will do everything you need and want to do with it. The sole is ground to approximately .04 give or take plenty flat for the job at hand. If you are having problems getting smooth shavings then hate to break bad news to you (your at fault). Just to give you a history lesson your fore fathers and mine used wooden planes all through history guess what not perfect flat or dead square, it was mostly the skill to set it up correctly. A skill that is somewhat missing theses days.

Decent review, but the sound is terrible, please invest in a clip on microphone.

Enjoying your videos. I live in Florida. Your knowledge of tools is very good. Your English is very good also.
My wife is learning Tagalog and I am sure she wishes her Tagalog was as good as your English.
I purchased a larger plane from Harbor Freight Tools and it was horrible, but after adjusting it, the performance was adequate.
We used it while building a truck camper that holds 6 kayaks inside and sleeps 5 people after unloading it.
    Thanks for the video.
