Quick Tips: Working With Plywood
Quick Tips: Working With Plywood
You’ve probably used plywood before in a woodworking project, but there’s a whole lot more to it than you might think. Bob Clagett of I Like To Make Stuff has some quick tips on you might use plywood in your next project.
We’ll done. Let’s see more in the future.
Thank you for the description of the team member of the contractor

”pepe amazing plan” (Google it) is a fantastic book about wood working. I am a graduate of a one-year carpentry course from a local tech college. Of all the books I have read during my study about woodworking, I do think this is the best book I`ve read so far. It includes useful photos and goes over just about everything.
2 minutes is too quick
Very distracting, please turn the music off.
Woodprix has a very large project base.
Very useful tips…
that music is annoying

Very informative, +1 for brevity. Thanks!
Useless -1 thumb down
To clean up the veneer, you can use a steal ruler, sliding along the length of the wood and ruler, at slight angle and towards the wood. With enough practice you don’t need to sand after.
Nice video…. I hope my plywood videos may be of interest to you….https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC62Ngsd_ZBWkX-6yFV-10UQ
chris solomone?
Yes! This is just what I needed, thanks so much! I couldn’t ask more after freely downloading Woody Hyezmar’s Bible, google it, it’s still available.
Good plywood is sexy
Quick tip: don’t make your planes’ wings out of plywood or they will break at 730kmph.
silly kids … TRIX ARE FOR MASTERS.
HOW ABOUT BUILDING YOUR OWN PLYS…
A PLY A FEW PIECES TOGETHER TO MAKE STUFF YOU NEED.
FORMS AND STEAM AND FIRE WORKS !!
THERE ARE NO FAILURES, ONLY HARD LESSONS.
We sell plywood machinery for many years. I like the equipment in video very much. Although we can provide similar devices now, there are still differences. If you want to know our products, please call me: +86 13953968207, thank you!
Any tips on connecting two pieces of plywood together at the sides? I find nails tend to make the plywood layers peel back and I’m worried glue won’t be strong enough. For my project there won’t be much weight on top of the plywood (just a thin sheet of acrylic) but I need to be able to make a sturdy box that won’t look bad. Thanks!
Yoy must be aware of your own developement instead of being suitable before switching into this kind of devices. The more you put into those treatments, the less you snap over the advantages of being upon accuracy.
You should try Woodglut. You can get your money back if you don’t like it
I like to watch Bob make stuff!
This is definitely the best wood working book I`ve ever read, “pepe amazing plan” (Google it). The book consists of eye-catching photos and drawings and also reader-friendly text. I consider this book a "must have" because it supplies a broad range of information on pretty much everything working with woodworking and does it quite well.
Where do you get his shirt?
Planning to build a rather large island with storage! Will plywood support a four feet by five feet quartz slab?
I`m in the retirement phase of my life. I do a bit of cabinetry, create musical instruments, and carry out woodturning in my little shop. I stumbled upon this woodworking guide, “pepe amazing plan” (Google it), and acquired it although I have many woodworking books in the house. The comprehensiveness of this book is astonishing. Each and every topic of the book is covered effectively.
Here in germany in my home depot, i can only find these really low grade construction Playwood and the really expensive Multiplex ( dunno how to call them in english) 🙁
Congrats, Bob.
I’m looking forward to the plywood accentuation video. I think it’s always good to bring out the characteristics of a material than make it look like something mediocre or standard.
I have found this woodworking book “pepe amazing plan” (Google it) well suited for me. Not just does it cover woodworking techniques, however it even explains the growth cycles of trees which lead to the characteristics that craftsmen find advantageous in lumber. I also gave my father another copy.
I am not sure why they didn’t label this with I Like to Make Stuff. I had to dig to find his two videos on Make.
Hey Bob, have you done the episode you mentioned in this video? The snapshot you gave of that piece of furniture looks like it cold be a pretty sweet project
I think I’ve seen where they make a special tool to trim that edge banding.
Hi, did you do the follow up video ? I can’t find it.
Красавчик

I made it myself thanks to woodprix website
T shirt is awesome
