The way you discribe it and the result is amazing.
I would much appreciate it if you mention the used materials like coatings and used sawblades in a comment.

    Hi.
My congratulations to you, my colleague.

Today I did my first job using the intarsia technique, but of course I didn’t have as many details as your piece.
If I reach half your level I will be very satisfied.
Congratulations, and keep posting more videos.

Sorry for the errors in the language. I am Brazilian and therefore do not speak English.

  15. jessica grant on June 30, 2022 at 9:49 pm

Nice job. It looks like all those small pieces make a more difficult project.

  23. Luis Asdrúbal Pérez on June 30, 2022 at 9:57 pm

Very nicely done, I really enjoyed. I have been doing scrollsaw for about 8 years and now I want to move into intarsia, would be fine if you can show in your next video a little more on the sanding process. Thanks!

  24. MrSpanky2001 on June 30, 2022 at 9:58 pm

Antarsia seems to be quite labor intensive. Even the simple projects. Don’t know if I have the attention span for it, but I’m giving it a shot.

  25. Bob Trevena on June 30, 2022 at 9:59 pm

Great first video DC. Actually thought you had added a bang sound effect. Looking into intarsia but not sure if I have the patience. I kind of like instant gratification.

Question: could I use a band saw. ?
    I haven’t Bought a scroll saw yet!

  47. Vincent K. on June 30, 2022 at 10:29 pm

Good work. Would have liked to see some actual shaping of some edges to get an idea of how difficult that might be. I assume it can be challenging to shape some of the smaller pieces. Wondering if you have any tricks for holding on to pieces while shaping.

  48. Dave Short on June 30, 2022 at 10:30 pm

Thanks man for taking your time to do this! I’m just starting and you really gave me a leg up!

  49. Robert Lacasse on June 30, 2022 at 10:32 pm

I have never tried intarsia and am looking forward to my first project and you make it seem so easy but I know it isn’t so wish me luck. As for this being your first video it seems to be perfect to me so keep up the good work.

  50. Tim Martin on June 30, 2022 at 10:33 pm

For your first video you did an awesome job! I’ll be saving this one as I am just getting started in intarsia and you explained a lot about the "height" and how to increase depth with it. I saw this on the plans I have but was a little confused as how to do it. I’m impressed with how the natural colors of the wood stand out.
