Routers for Beginners- woodworking
Routers for Beginners- woodworking
Hey guys! I had a few friends who are new woodworkers as me to make a quick video on routers! I am not going over router tables in this video, just trim routers and plunge routers. I run over what they do and how to make a cut!
As always I will answer any questions that I can, please like and subscribe and hit that bell to get notified when new videos come out!

Hi, is it possible to use this type of router to cut simple circles? If so, will it attach to a circle guide kit?
Nice video. Iβve got one of these coming soon so I figured Iβd see what others have done with it and youβve given me a good heads up on how to handle it. Thanks for making this video.
Iβve got quite a bit of experience in the machine shop and wood shop so I should know what I need to do but I also know Iβm always learning.
Happy New Year!
AWESOME VIDEO ππ
This helped a lot, thanks for the vid mate
Your beautiful
what battery do you use
Can u do shaker doors with them. I struggle with where to put the router to start
This was very useful for someone who is using this tool for the first time. Thank you for making this video.
Nice video, thanks
So is the burn mark on the start of your demo normal?
the bits are 1/4?
I want to get into woodworking and one of my first jobs is replacing a tabletop. I want to cut a 3m surface into 2 1.5m surfaces. I read somewhere that a router can do this, but from watching this video I am not sure. Is a router what I need or maybe a circular saw? If the router can do it then I would like the router as I might do the edges.
thank you beautiful
Beginner mistake #1… Buying anything with a ryobi label on it.
Thanks so much for this video! I just bought a router and needed a quick tutorial! This was amazing! I also LOVE your safety glasses, going to get some now!
Thanks for taking the time to help us beginners. Never used a router. Iβm going with the trim router just to play with and try out.
Hi beautiful… Ur vdo simply awesome. Now let me know which n what type of router I should go for. I’m beginner and never used router. β€
Women are always reliable sources of common sense advice. Thank you for teaching me how to use a router. None of the male reviewers could stay on track and talk about the basic functionality. Thank you!
I have learned a lot since I watched this video the first time and now I appreciate it even more! I’m waiting on delivery of a new trim router tomorrow and watching your video is helping me go to the next level. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this. I have not used a router before and just bought this Ryobi trim router. Your video is very helpful!

Love you and your video. Please tell me if I have to buy only one than which one, plunge or palm?? Urgent ma’am.
Hello, thanks for this video really helpful! could you tell me, is it possible to perform surface routing with the Ryobi trim router?
Could you help me? I’ve never used a router. Ive honestly never done any wood work. I’m making a bookcase and i just installed my bit and tried on a piece of scrap wood. i tore the board up and it almost jumped out of my hand. All i want is to make the space that the shelf boards will sit in. The board is 3/4 in deep? My bit is 3/4 straight. Using a Dewalt compact router. I’ve watched a ton of videos and the trim work is awesome but not (joiners? i think)
How did those router bits hold up? I need some but for what im doing i dont wanna spend too much. Im building speakerboxes so im using mdf.
Nice very helpful I alway watched people do dados and stuff on table saw
What bit is used for the lines in the wood like you showed?
NICE ONE

Great video!! I came here because another video didn’t have the close ups that I needed. Good job.
Nicely explained, π
I just find your channel… I’m big fan of Carpentry work
I love you!!
Which router not do I need to cut grooves
Watching this in 2021. Never thought I would say 2019 was the good old days! If only we knew what was coming!
Very good video! I just bought my first router and this helped me a ton. Thank you!
I noticed your hand holding the wood besides the router. If you loose control of the router you may cut your hand or fingers. Please use a wood clamp to prevent accidents.
Great video! Thank you for the helpful explanations!
i have watched all the so-called pro videos on how to use a router as a beginner and after all the videos i end up none the wiser. Your video was great and i could follow it well and understand everything. Its also an added bonus that you are rather nice too.
Why is my wood burning while cutting
awesome video
For beginners do you recommend plunge router or small hand router?
So cute
Looks easy for you …..
there is no need to use a fence as a guide as long as the bit has the bearing?
It makes a nice change to to see a lovley women showing us
Thank you mam
I was wondering how you keep your trim router from biting in too far? Your cuts are nice and straight….
I tried using my ryobi trim router straight out of the box on a nice antique dresser top and now have to replace that top. Is there supposed to be a guide of some sort on it or what? Do I purchase that separately? Please help! I don’t want this to happen twice.
I like your videos but can’t hear you. Most of the time I’ll stop the video.
This is pleasant I wish I new a lady woods craftswoman.
