Great review. You must have researched the tool a lot to be able to just toss the manual aside :-). Took me a half-minute to figure out how to install the blade when I got mine. Cuts way better than my old, corded Craftsman that uses U blades and requires an allen key to change the blades out. I just paid around $45US for the Ryobi P5231 at Home Depot – they dropped the price I guess because they came out with the brushless version (Model PBLJS01B), which goes for $139US. I could not see spending that much on a tool I only keep by my daughter’s house to use there sometimes.
$45 right now. Yep. Getting this. I have a 25 year old B+D and not used enough to warrant anything more than this Ryobi.
I opened the package. Installed the blade, put in a fully charged battery and got a little movement and then it stopped. I remember now why I dont buy ryobi.
Really helpful video thankyou!
Just bought 2 4amp batteries for 100 and got this jigsaw free. Ryobi days!!!! Out the door. 2 4amp bats and this!!
You didn’t show how to use the blade saver
Dose it work with out blade?
Hello. Please tell me, is it sold with or without batteries?
The blurred points in the video is an exact view through my eyeballs when I use something with high vibration! Really liked the video, thanks for the effort.
Thank you for the best and most honest review I have seen yet. I am new at this tool stuff and really got a ton of useful information. Much appreciated!
Great review. Thanks
0:58 I have the Ryobi 40V leaf blower ( 730CFM ).. and it’s amazing.
I had the same experience with the 18V leaf blower. Piece of crap. But the 40V version is great. I have not used my gas mower for three years. Gas blower for two years.
I just but one of this… ant keeps stopping on me… I. The middle of the cutting! I can’t find what the problem is.
Where do you store the blades???
I’ve had a black and decker scroller that’s around 25 years old never let me down but moving over to Ryobi and this jig saw is like a Ferrari compared to my old one and with no leads any more a much safer working environment highly recommended 👍👊🤣👌❤️😀
Would be helpful if you show how the BladeSaver functions. You talked about it several times. How does look lowered? You remove the sole plate? What?
Very nice narration, and superby explained. Thanks for posting. I am starting my first Laminate flooring project. Just wanted to know if this jigsaw will be good for cutting laminate planks or should I look for some other tool. Will appreciate if you can answer
