I’m about to start my 20G nano reef tank. Should I put the carbon in immediately or wait til my water yellows?

  14. Aaron Irwin on June 27, 2023 at 2:22 pm

Ryan I hope you don’t still rinse carbon in tap water at your new house! The media will be exhausted by the time it gets to the tank 😀

Does carbon remove the helpful elements that is in the water? I dose my tank with Seachem Reef Fusion. Will it remove the ingredients in it?

Dude every time it goes to the next video I feel like im still in the prev vid or it restarted. Your voice doesn’t change at all in the beginning and end of the vid. Love these short 5 mins. I tried to watch your 52 weeks but I sometimes have to take a break from those because that’s a lot of info and you talk fast. So still working on that series. Keep up teh good work

I’m confused I only need 2 tbsp for a 30 gallon or a whole bag? But how does it filter the water. If I use more than recommended is that harmful?

  18. Leonard Guralnick on June 27, 2023 at 2:39 pm

I’m not clear from the video if it is okay to always keep carbon in the system rather than periodically as needed.

What is the beneficial need for saltwater vs freshwater? I read most of freshwater aquarist say no no on carbon.
