Can you wear just one filter? Did hear you mention anything about it.

  2. Jeanette Wilhelm on March 31, 2022 at 5:56 pm

WARNING!!! These masks are not good for spray painting!!! Spray paints contains acetone, and a specialist at 3M told me only supplied air respirator such as 3M Versaflo V-500 with a 3M S-757 headtop(with everything it costs £1400😩) filters acetone, and if I use these type of face respirators I will inhale acetone and risk my health. I already have chronic health problems because of it, so be careful guys! And only buy them from legit sites through 3M website, there are lots of fake on ebay etc..

My shop is practicing social distancing 1.5 metres so the tea break is a long queue and a 15 min extension

  4. latchbox on March 31, 2022 at 5:56 pm

It’s nice watching people in the before times talk about masks and respirators so casually.

(Pro tip: that valve that lets you exhale easier on the dusg mask also makes this terrible for preventing spreading disease.)

can this mask help me for work in bakery, because i am asthmatic (allergy in flour)

  6. Joe jeans on March 31, 2022 at 5:57 pm

    Will these work against viruses?

  7. Rogue on March 31, 2022 at 5:57 pm

On the 3M 6000 mask, the paper filters are the wrong way wrong. The writing side should be facing the inside of the mask and the blank side facing the outside.

  8. Prefabfan on March 31, 2022 at 5:59 pm

Hey big expert: Your filter is on inside out. The writing goes closet to the mask. It should appear blank on the outside. Mask 101.

The big one I think it gives a real protection of CORONA virus! Doctor’s and people who are very exposed to the virus they should use that mask

  12. Bob Lee on March 31, 2022 at 6:05 pm

Are dust mask filters reusable? ex.cleaning with shop vac or soap and water. (the black strap base with filter add ons for wood dust).

  13. vic ferg on March 31, 2022 at 6:09 pm

I bought exactly that respirator 😀

  14. Starr Myres on March 31, 2022 at 6:09 pm

I think you can learn more about this on Woodglut.

    @Adam Savage’s Tested –
*You forgot the most important TIP* when using masks (half masks or full face masks) … the tip is beard SHAVING , yes remove ALL of it as slick as possible , *without shaving NO mask seals to the face = the bad stuff can bypass the mask !* the Guy on the left side needs to shave for using masks.

  16. Pretamane on March 31, 2022 at 6:16 pm

    respirator is dopeeeee

  17. SerialShitposter on March 31, 2022 at 6:16 pm

Tip for all masks and respirators. If you have a beard or a mustache, the mask will not make a perfect seal. If you are working with really dangerous materials i would shave yourself to get a perfect seal with the oral-nazal cup or the dustmask itsself. Every time before going in to a contaminated area you need to do a seal check. You can put the filter cardriges off and plug the inhalation holes and breathe. If you dont feel any air coming around your oral nazal cup or the bit that sits around your face then you are good. If you feel air you need to adjust the straps or get a bigger or smaller size mask or respiratior. Thats the negative pressure check. You can do a positive pressure check. The positive and negative only apply to a respirator cause a dust mask is very hard to seal the whole area. A negative seal check is basically putting your hand on the exhalation valve and exhale. If you feel air then you need to adjust the straps untli you dont.

  18. Tobiyyah on March 31, 2022 at 6:16 pm

Can you tell me if the respirator for M101 is as good as N100? I cannot find a N100 and I see an M1010.

  21. Mrs Patmore on March 31, 2022 at 6:19 pm

Kleenex to block the nose gap, that’s a good idea.

  22. Bill Patterson on March 31, 2022 at 6:19 pm

Thanks. Great video. I am using an LVLP gun to spray Behr Latex from Home Depot. Do I need a mask like the one in your video or are the paper masks that have N95 printed on them sufficient? Same ones that everyone is wearing to avoid the Cornona Virus. Thanks

  24. Skyledge on March 31, 2022 at 6:21 pm

  25. Martin Shirley on March 31, 2022 at 6:23 pm

    Is it 3m 6200 respirator?

  26. Susan Koech on March 31, 2022 at 6:23 pm

Coronavirus has made masks review videos popular

  27. Big Ed on March 31, 2022 at 6:24 pm

I picked up the same respirator. Came in a set.

    6200 + 6055 + 5935 + 501

Fits really well and it’s easy to breathe through.

    Love it!

We decided to do some re-painting while covid is rampaging. Had to do loads of sanding between coats of mud over all the dings and holes our walls had. Since N95 is most urgent for areas like ICU/hospitals/medical/frontline the best we could do was surgical mask with a layer of cloth mask and another layer of mask and our lab googles. We lucky this is not our occupation and not majorly asthmatic. 😅 I can only imagine how construction firms/contractors are struggling to get PPE.

  29. Roy Rice on March 31, 2022 at 6:27 pm

If you have waited until now to buy a respirator you are too late. Two month delivery time!! 🤯🤯🤯

  30. Johnfights4manyresons Johnfighys4manyresons on March 31, 2022 at 6:31 pm

    Nice try
But nothing works if you have face hair.
Also OSHA in America anyway makes you fit test if you are wearing a respirator for prolonged periods.
It’s more important to know how long to wear

  31. binot on March 31, 2022 at 6:32 pm

unfortunately this respirators dont filter the breath u exhale so if u have the virus u arre spreading it like ur not wearing a mask

  32. Ennou on March 31, 2022 at 6:32 pm

Question, are gas mask and face masks like those used in this covid pandemic classified as respirators or something else?

Oxygen Therapy: The Potential Risk to Give Oxygen to Patients with Respirators

Liu Liang proposed that “the mucus in the lungs must be diluted or dissolved. If the mucus components are not resolved, oxygen therapy might lead to adverse effect. Because the positive pressure of oxygen may push the mucus deeper and wider and ultimately aggravate the patient’s symptom of hypoxia.”

  47. DeadBoyCE on March 31, 2022 at 6:50 pm

The guy that has a beard and he’s putting on mass he’s never going to have a seal because of your facial hair….

  48. SHOPMASK Global on March 31, 2022 at 6:50 pm

These are a bit bulky for daily use. There are more compact options that offer similar protection as long as you know how to fit/wear them properly

  49. Joe K on March 31, 2022 at 6:51 pm

A little bit of knowledge is a very dangerous thing. Please find another video if you are looking for FACTUAL information about dust masks and respirators. Your life could depend on it. Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tzpz5fko-fg
