See that chip fly? This will soon be the one eyed Irish guy. Will glue a cap to his head but never wear safety glasses.

I love how agressive this guy is woth the draeing knife he broke the handle the camera was shaking i wouldn’t be surprised if he could fell a tree with one stroke of the drawing knife.

  10. meyhem maker on June 19, 2023 at 1:11 pm

That was a poor design for the handles of that draw knife-you think it’d support it in the direction you pull so the handles don’t come off like that –

Eoin, I thoroughly enjoy your content. As I am becoming a voice actor, you are my reference for your beautiful Irish Accent, but I have learned so much about wood working from you as well. So a giant thank you from Canada!

A little trick: to reduce tear out when planing reversing grain, close the throat. A thin piece of cardboard will do

  16. Mary Presley on June 19, 2023 at 1:16 pm

How is how to make a bent will chair it’s a good project for beginners

  17. Brian Costello on June 19, 2023 at 1:19 pm

Súgán chairs were once a familiar sight all over Ireland and beyond; the wooden frame, made from a variety of woods but most commonly ash or larch, joined with mortice and tenon joints, is held together with a sturdy woven seat of ‘súgán’, the Irish word for straw or hemp rope.

  19. Steven Smith on June 19, 2023 at 1:21 pm

The real kicker would be that he is using a mechanical planer during scene 🎬 cuts. 😂

It’s not hard to imagine this guy and Ron Swanson meeting, having a glass of whiskey, and trading tips on woodworking.

  28. Terrance Miller on June 19, 2023 at 1:33 pm

Oh how nice, stiff piece of ash.

  36. ArnieMcStranglehold on June 19, 2023 at 1:40 pm

I’ll probably find out as I go through your videos, but do you do stuff with mahogany? I’ve picked up some baby trees, and I intend to turn one of them into a table. The time it takes to grow, I have plenty of time to learn and fail a few projects.

  37. Nathaniel on June 19, 2023 at 1:40 pm

    Very informal thanks

  38. Grant Hagen on June 19, 2023 at 1:45 pm

Why use the Five and then the Seven? Aren’t both configured to slice paper thin? If that is the case, why use one over the other? Or am I missing something? Great stuff for sure, but I’m just a little confused about the process

  39. Josh Crupe on June 19, 2023 at 1:47 pm

Not a slant or complaint but it seems you only use ash is there a reason for that ?

  40. phil18751 on June 19, 2023 at 1:47 pm

  43. Germ Crazy on June 19, 2023 at 1:50 pm

I’m being serious when I ask how you ever finish a project doing everything by hand?! I use all the power tools I can and it still seems like I get nothing done! Amazing.

  44. charles mccallister on June 19, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Thats a lot of work for one square stick. A lot of different tools.
