King cobra stud, Lucille Ball plate (she’d be honored), header honcho stud (well, duh) and Jack Reacher studs will be wonderful new terms to attract new labor talent. Dinner and dessert plates will definitely work as well, but now I’m hungry.

which brand and what is the model name of the earplugs you use?

  4. Tara Bussanich on November 4, 2022 at 3:51 am

You need to add some length to the bridge! It should hang in a nice curve. (That way, one person can stand in the middle of one curve, and a larger person can jump onto the other side to launch them! Kids will figure it out!)

  5. NinjaHamsterUpRising on November 4, 2022 at 3:53 am

Great work, teaching people by example how to build unsafely.

  6. Jacob Warburton on November 4, 2022 at 3:55 am

when is this going to be up on airbnb?

  7. stefan formgren on November 4, 2022 at 3:57 am

I was wondering about the stealbeems for the hangbrige, it looks sterdy so could it had been enough with one (on the inside) so the bridge still loked as a open hangbrige ?

  8. bob fortner on November 4, 2022 at 3:58 am

Hello new to your channel. What type of decking are you using on the upper platform? Composite or pressure treated wood?

  9. Frank Ortolano on November 4, 2022 at 4:01 am

  12. Grant on November 4, 2022 at 4:02 am

The strength comes from his will power to not strangle 3/4 of all his customers everyday. Does he bring the caffeination with his strength?

  13. Thomllama on November 4, 2022 at 4:05 am

Been doing construction/framing for over 30yrs, there were a few things I saw/heard that were a tad off, but your Kung Fu skills are way better than mine so you win! 😂😂😂

  14. Rick Solari on November 4, 2022 at 4:08 am

You do great work for a supposedly clueless maker.

  15. MaxCrack33 No Last Name on November 4, 2022 at 4:08 am

Yikes! Not sure how long those nails are but at 5:18 you put your foot on the King Cobra stud right in front of where a nail could possible come through if it were off target or hit a hard spot in the wood and curved up a little.

  16. vmoutsop on November 4, 2022 at 4:09 am

You don’t know what your doing? I find that hard to believe. I think we’re getting some false modesty. LOL

  17. RakS on November 4, 2022 at 4:12 am

Love seeing the progression on your house addition in the background. Are you going to make videos on that also?

  18. William Rich on November 4, 2022 at 4:20 am

  25. Christopher Fryman on November 4, 2022 at 4:27 am

I’m not a structural engineer but your rafters are way overbuilt.

  26. Calvin Johnson on November 4, 2022 at 4:28 am

    It’s called a ridge beam.

  27. Simon Kemp on November 4, 2022 at 4:29 am

Hmmm looks good to me but kinda seemed like you’d never framed anything before… can’t figure out why tho… eh oh well GOOD JOB!!

  28. Mark Sawczuk on November 4, 2022 at 4:30 am

“When your treehouse is built to higher specs than your residential house. In episode 6: watch when we load test this by parking a Volvo on top.” Well done. Lol

  29. AirMech on November 4, 2022 at 4:30 am

Header Honcho? I thought they were called Header Locklears.

  30. Some Amir on November 4, 2022 at 4:31 am

  31. Mischief Factory on November 4, 2022 at 4:32 am

when gushing about how much fun framing is you forgot the best part NO SANDING!

  32. Grant on November 4, 2022 at 4:32 am

I do not know why and it has been decades since I watched him but you are feeling very Norm Abram esque to me. Like a carpenter Bob Ross

  33. r. LeVere Harper on November 4, 2022 at 4:32 am

  36. TheFatalHalo on November 4, 2022 at 4:33 am

Three burly, bearded bespoke builders beautifully and brilliantly breaking boundaries!

  37. iPick 4Fun on November 4, 2022 at 4:34 am

I thought typical build, they use double "dessert plates" to distribute the load from the roof.

  38. Cranes, Cars and Guitars on November 4, 2022 at 4:34 am

    Jack Reacher is a stud.

  39. Trevor Franks on November 4, 2022 at 4:35 am

Did you have to get this sucker approved by the city zoning or whatever its called? how much of a hassle is that?

  40. Lon Schmierer on November 4, 2022 at 4:37 am

We call them Top and Bottom Plate.

  41. Bal Loney on November 4, 2022 at 4:37 am

I thought a tree house is something attached to a tree.

  42. Daniel Mores on November 4, 2022 at 4:37 am

Admit it … this is also going to be a MIL suite.

  43. Mike Johnson on November 4, 2022 at 4:38 am

I’m enjoying this build and look forward to seeing it completed.

  44. Paul DuJardin on November 4, 2022 at 4:38 am

Real contractors use their foot. And then count to 8.

  45. warpspeed on November 4, 2022 at 4:39 am

    "Gymnist"? 😁

  46. No Page on November 4, 2022 at 4:41 am

Many builders would use studs (92-5/8 in.) rather than 8-foot 2×4 s for the wall. That way, you don’t have to cut them and 8-foot sheathing would reach the top of the dessert plate, the bottom of the dinner plate, and overlap the floor by 3/8 inch to prevent rain from coming in. Drywalling or panelling a wall that is 8-foot, 3-inches tall would mean a lot of extra work and expense. But who drywalls a treeless treehouse?

  47. Campzzyzx on November 4, 2022 at 4:41 am

    PARKOUR!

  48. Calvin Johnson on November 4, 2022 at 4:44 am

    Wrong wall.

  49. Motor 2of7 on November 4, 2022 at 4:47 am

The bridge is boring now. It needs more bounce.

  50. Troy McGrew on November 4, 2022 at 4:47 am

I’m not a contractor, but I can say that your terminology is exactly correctly right. I watched Bob Villa and Home Improvement so I know.
