Table Saw Dust Collection in 5 Minutes
Table Saw Dust Collection in 5 Minutes
Today I’m adding a 4 inch dust collection port to my portable table saw. Most contractor or jobsite table saws do not have a decent way of managing dust so using them indoors is a messy job. I was able to add a Dust Right port to my old portable table saw in about 5 minutes and I was connected to my Rockler Dust Right collection system and ripping stair risers for our new staircase. Many of the tools in this quick video come straight from Northern Tool + Equipment. You can shop DustRight, Milwaukee, and more, in-store and online at northerntool.com.

Keepin’ it clean!
Timing is perfect on this as Iβm looking at dust collection for the hobby shop
Niiiiiiiice!
Love your pencil keeperπΈ
You could probably do a modified version of the mobile base that I built for my sawstop contractor saw to fix your wobbly base and still be able to move it. Basically it uses the feet and has a set of drop down wheels on a lever. It works great so far for me. Also, Rockler does sell screw on quick connect ports so you could have just had a hole and screwed the quick connect on the outside of the plywood. I have used that on multiple tools (my downdraft table and even my upgraded dust collection for my jointer. The playlist for the sawstop mobile base I made is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjrM8MU4TJJDuRshI7WbiWHO-IYKrIHxm If you do decide to try it and have any questions, let me know. I think all the info should be in one of the three videos…but if not, I am happy to try and explain more if it helps. π
I usually use a broom and dustpan. For the particles I canβt see, I use tissues.
Good job Jeremy! what you don’t come up with to make it not so dusty.
I think you should add MacGyver to your skill set ππ
Simple! I have an old Craftsman table saw. I just replaced the metal stand with a mobile stand made from 2x4s. This was a great idea for addressing dust collection!
nice, it’s these simple hacks that make the workshop more productive and safe
That was impressive
.
Perfect mod Jeremy!
Iβm have this exact saw. Iβll be doing this mod for sure. Nice work!

Short & sweet, love the pencil on a string around the neck. Thanks for the video from UK.
Iβm so glad I found this! I was searching for a dust collection solution for my table saw and I have this exact same saw and stand. This helped me so much!
