Table Saw How-To Install Anti-Kickback Pawl and Blade Guard Performax
Demonstrates how to install and remove the anti-kickback pawls and blade guard from a Performax table saw.
Now THIS is a good video. I don’t have the same make or model, and the "mechanics" are different, but I was still able to figure out how to assemble my machine (Delta Shop Master)!!
Thanks I needed that … Just got a new Table Saw and the Instructions are for the Birds the Illustrations Don’t match your video Thanks
Thank you for doing this. My instructions in the book sucked and watching this made it simple to install. Thanks much!!
Bought new and the directions are not the greatest- video was great
thanks
Thanks Mate
Thnx. those manufacturer instruction were wack!!!
I’m late to the party – but I appreciate you posting this video. I was wondering if I installed them correctly and your vid allowed me to confirm that I did. This was so much better than the manual.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks, this was helpful. The stupid guard on mine shot across the room twice. Hopefully, putting it on correctly will help
Really needed this video. Short and to the point
Thanks man! Saved me from wasting another hour trying to figure this <expletive deleted> thing out. You rock!!
After your instruction, I was able to put those devices on in seconds. Great job.
Can you show how the rivving plate attaches under the table?
Thanks your video helped me out a lot, the instructions it came with a bit lacking.
This helped. Thanks
Thank you so much!!!!! I would not know how to install the Anti-Kick Pawls!!!!!
Thank you so much my friend !!!
Thanks a million for this video! Just bought this table saw yesterday, and I needed confirmation that I had the riving knife in the proper position to attach the anti-kickback pawls. I feel secure now, knowing it’s attached correctly. Thanks again!
Manual is shit
Pictures in it are shit
I plan to call them and let them know.
Your video is good. Thank you
I recently purchased a Ryobi table saw and have looked at most of the videos on YouTube for clarification on how to install the Pawn and Blade Guard and your demonstration here far exceeded anything published at this time for Ryobi. I think I can install them with confidence now. Thanks!!
Do you have dust port connected and what size adapter?
thank you for this. just bought 1st table saw and the instructions were not that precise. Was looking for videos on this and all I see are people not using these, and putting fingers close to blade.
Thanks for the video. Way better than the instructions explained it. Thanks for the video. Time to go cut some wood.
Thank yu so much i had no idea how to install them
I just purchased the DeWALT 7480 and I don’t understand when to use the riving knife in the upper and lower position, and when I tried to put the blade guard on in the upper position it doesn’t seem to work with the blade guard. Can you please do a video explaining the reason for the two positions, and how to use the blade guard when the riving knife is in the upper position. I can’t find any videos the give a good explanation on the use of it on the DeWALT 7480. With kickback installed.
Insane how these manuals leave these things out. They tell you how to store it when not in use. Thanks!!!
My saw came and isn’t very good. The riving knife is bent fresh out of the box, I played with it and got it straight where it needs to be. The antikick paws will not lock into place. I found another fella who gave a review on this very same saw and it was a pretty bad review. Do far I’m agreeing with him. This was a gift from some time back.
Thank you it was very helpful.
Thanks man. I got the riving knife and anti-kick back paws installed, but couldn’t for the life of me figure out the blade guard assembly.
Thank you!!!!
Wish the heck Performax would put out a youtube video because their manual leaves a lot to be desired.
