Changing Table Saw Blades http://www.askwoodman.com/
In this video I show how to change the table saw blade in a very controlled and careful way that keeps me safe and does not flex or damage the blade.
Thank you very much.!
Gonna try this.
Genius!
Wow, all this Years I been doing it hard way.
PHENOMENAL PROCEDURE, THANKS!!!
I want to thank you for a wonderful, professional, and educational video. It has helped me change-out my table saw blade with ease with the least resistance. A great reference with safety in-mind. One of the best videos of what You Tube is meant for ……..to help the masses of like-minded DIYers for the good of the Earth. And helping your fellow man. Keep-up the great work my friend.
I just went to try your system… it works so easily, thank you from this 62 year old Granny.
This is such an intelligent way of doing it. Work smarter, not harder!
holy crap thank you so much, after cutting myself a couple times and breaking one of the wrenches I was literally about to go take it to a repair shop but decided to google a video despite my doubt on any techniques helping, 2 taps on a 6 foot 2×4 and it came loose after an hour of struggling
Your video and demonstration with clear instructions saved me from a big headache..didn’t know what to do without the wrench and two prong spanner..thanks a bunch, man…
Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. God bless you!
Your video makes it SO easy to change a blade! Thank You!
Any recommendations for a blade that is "frozen"
Why anyone would give this a thumbs down is beyond me! Thanks man!
Thanks 😊
Thank you so very much!!!!
Amazing tip!!! Thanks.
I’m going to try this in the morning. If this works , you are gonna hear about it !!!
Good Lord! By far the best technique I’ve seen to change the blade…EVER!! Make physics work for you…go figure! 🙂
Man you saved me a head scratcher. My table saw I picked up second hand only had a nut on the outside. Inside was just a round bushing flat up against the blade. Thanks a bunch!
Thank You
…what if we are coming to this video guide after applying hours of excess force to loosen the arbor nut (but failed). Will this technique still work or are we screwed? whats the real answer? I can take it.
when i feed my wood it seems to tighten ? could you give me the reasons for this please thank you
Wow! 60 seconds and I’m done… and the blade has not been changed since I bought the saw around 1986. Thank you.
Just tried this on an old table saw I inherited. Works like a charm!
Thank you. I just bought an old Craftsman contractor table saw and the collar behind the blade has no slot for a wrench. This is going to work perfectly.
Freaking Genius!! Saved me hours….Worked perfectly
If I could like this 20 times I would. Absolutely the easiest time I have ever changed a blade. This is so unbelievably simple.
Works great!
Helpful. Thank you!
Nice video man. I’d like it twice if i could
Many thanks for posting this video. I must say it did not work for me this time. I had to resort to the method you advised against. However this is the first time I’ve taken it off and likely it was over tightened at manufacture. I think your method makes sense and I’ll be following your tip from now on. Thanks for being there!
Thank you so much, just spent 30 trying to figure out how to swap out a saw blade without an arbor wrench and without success before I saw your video, worked perfectly!
This tip is worth its weight in mahogany!
Thank you!!!
Thanks for making your video so short simple and easy to understand !!! Great video ….
Thank you very much for uploading this video man, it made my day I could open and change the blade easily after watching this video👍👍👍
It help me a lote thank you👋
Thank you for safety focus
I’m changing my blade tomorrow….thank you for helping me!
Thank you so much! I’m one of those people who misplaced the tool that came with the table saw, so this video was so helpful.
Thank you so much, I followed your method and it worked. Much appreciated!
I just stumbled upon this video and thought to myself I know how to do it but watched the video anyways. 30 some years of doing it the hard and unsafe way. I have had my hand slip before and apparently I have been over tightening my blades as well. Just tried this on my saw and it was easy safe and quick. Thank you for posting this information! I will surely pass this on to my father and kids and anyone who joins me in the shop!
Perfect! You totally answered my question of “How tight?”
My owners manual says to “finger tighten the nut, and then use the wrenches to tighten the nut.”
And then it says, “Do NOT overtighten the blade nut.”
And I’m standing here thinking, “Soooooo … how tight should it be?!?!?”
Now I know 😊
Didn’t think it would work like the butter you made it seem but it did! Wow an actually helpful video on the internet. Appreciate it!
Thank you!! Very helpful!! You have a new subscriber 😊👍
OMG!! I’d spend a day wrenching on a Craigslist table saw that did not come with tools to change the blade, and your trick worked perfectly!!!! Thanks!!
Almost trashed my saw yesterday, glad I saw this.
My table saw arbor thread is not left hand tread but normal right hand. This does not make sense to me
SOB I’m in disbelief this just worked.I spent 25$ for the replacement wrench. I will be returning it now! Thank you so much for sharing this trick
