What a total waste of time

I love the sander being in tune with the background music at 00:45!

  4. bsb 1963 on January 18, 2022 at 9:23 pm

Wow – I actually watched this to the end??? The 10 remaining blacksmiths in the world thank you….

  5. Terry Frederickson on January 18, 2022 at 9:24 pm

that’s a waist of time ,, I have two short pieces of different size rail I use as anvil I just clamp in vice or place on table like everyone else , like what the hell is the wood for ? other than to look nice

  6. Roddy Dykes on January 18, 2022 at 9:24 pm

This is as useless as my woodworking skills

  7. eyes are open To all on January 18, 2022 at 9:26 pm

I have many many rail full length 12’ they are elevators rails mostly guide rails really. They come in many sizes but they work great for anvil I use them to lift my water tank furnace of the bare ground easy to clean under

  8. Thomson Maclean on January 18, 2022 at 9:27 pm

That is a mighty fine Doorstop/Anvil. You are very talented and creative.

  9. Shadow Banned on January 18, 2022 at 9:28 pm

3:36 I was wondering why you did that…answered at the end….nice

  10. Øroiq on January 18, 2022 at 9:29 pm

I actually have a piece of rail a bit shorter that I’ve sometimes used as an anvil. The wood addition seems a good idea.

  11. James Thomas on January 18, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Hell of a work, just go out and buy an anvil.

  12. James Grosser on January 18, 2022 at 9:29 pm

    Um, okay I guess.

  13. Guy Hollister on January 18, 2022 at 9:32 pm

  15. Roxham Junction on January 18, 2022 at 9:37 pm

What a lot of effort for nothing. 👎

  16. Louis Martin on January 18, 2022 at 9:38 pm

How many trains did this terrorist derail so he can straighten some wire for his bird feeder?

  17. Socrate Disciple's on January 18, 2022 at 9:39 pm

If I was to put that railway track on a vice in various position, would not have worked!?!? Yes it would, even better. The amount of tool, much more expensive than that rubbish waste of time you made, is not worth the time.. unless you have to much tome in your hand, then yes I agree, is good for something… but very much useless to DESERVE such title. "The most useful tool in workshop" what a load of bolocks!
This is just bulshit for click bite, and I hate it..

  18. TriBounty on January 18, 2022 at 9:39 pm

Really innovative great job. For me i wouldn’t be able to handle the pingy-ness of an ungrounded anvil but this is a really cool idea for anyone that needs an anvil every now and then and its portable.

  19. Socrate Disciple's on January 18, 2022 at 9:41 pm

I want my time back because YOU LIED ME. 😠😠😠

  22. The Master on January 18, 2022 at 9:42 pm

Quite an elaborate procedure for making a flat surface…

    The Japanese love this stuff…

Some people say it’s a remnant left in our DNA from our creators who created us..

This odd fascination of constantly remaking and "improving " things that have already been made..

Like the part of us that can still listen to TV while we are asleep.. redundant anthropoloficc luggage from living in caves…

  23. Peter Twiss on January 18, 2022 at 9:45 pm

nice but it will not work well if your bench is taking the impact energy when you hammer. I can see the camera vibrating. For an anvil to work properly, it needs to be on a surface as rigid as the anvil itself., so the energy goes into the target, not the table.

  24. Mackinstyle on January 18, 2022 at 9:49 pm

Table saws at 2 or 3x speed make me so anxious. I know it’s far slower and you’re doing it safely but my lizard brain doesn’t and it keeps reeling at the image.

  25. Eric Kreitz on January 18, 2022 at 9:49 pm

Just use the garage floor like everyone else.

  26. Cloud Rouju on January 18, 2022 at 9:52 pm

Hammering on steel which is seated on wood. Wow, mind blown!

  27. Jona llaway on January 18, 2022 at 9:55 pm

Just shows what you can do if you already have a workshop full of fantastic tools!

  28. Mike Elwood on January 18, 2022 at 9:55 pm

  29. danceswithcritters on January 18, 2022 at 9:56 pm

  36. Federico Villagran on January 18, 2022 at 10:00 pm

That’s one satisfying THUNK at 1:18!

  38. Michael Ric on January 18, 2022 at 10:06 pm

Or just buy a fucking anvil. Economics of scale people.

  39. plssmellmycheese on January 18, 2022 at 10:06 pm

I thought it was gonna be a nice big (non scratchy and rusty) weight for glue ups that clamps can’t do…still could be as well! 👍

  40. Bernd Thiel on January 18, 2022 at 10:06 pm
