    Of you’ll put paste wax on everything it won’t rust and corrode

    I found a 9 1/4 in the wall of my 65yo house when i was remodeling. Nearly prefect shape.

    Great restoration, I like how you brought the plane back to good working order and cleaned it up but kept it original by not repainting it

    I picked up a Stanley 9 1/2 block plane from goodwill today for $1.99! Pretty awesome little plane!

    That was actually a lower end model

    Just a piece of advice I restore a lot of planes next time tried some degreaser and a tooth brush on the body of the plane to get all crud out I use grease lightning and it works really well

    Excellent. I have one Craftsman plane just like that. Believe made by Stanley for them, every detail the same. One exception it has an adjustable throat. Like you said, great little go-to plane to have around.
