    Incredible bench

  2. mygiboxatgmail on February 22, 2022 at 10:55 pm

The video is great for an advance carpenter but I feel that 13 min just doesn’t cut it for me. I’m not a carpenter at all so I needed a simpler explanation + schematics to get a better idea on what to do. Best workbench I’ve seen so far so its disappointing.

That’s a stunningly beautiful bench. Too nice for me to do woodworking on. I’d use it as a kitchen island where I could polish it daily and admire it constantly.

  30. Christopher Salisbury on February 22, 2022 at 11:33 pm

Very nice job! I was shocked that you would spray paint after all that work and the nice joinery – doesn’t seem right – but it’s your bench.

  35. joseph ricci on February 22, 2022 at 11:39 pm

This is an amazing bench, I bought your plans. I have a question for the top. What size are the boards you are using on the top? 2×6 or 2×8? or some other size?

  36. Randy Cabaltera on February 22, 2022 at 11:40 pm

    Absolutely beautiful workbench!

  37. Raymond Lilley on February 22, 2022 at 11:42 pm

What metal tools are you using to mark your lines into the wood

  38. Michael Scott on February 22, 2022 at 11:43 pm

Chris, love the bench! It’s very similar to the one I’m building right now. I’ve tried to stay very traditional, using only hand tools, but I’ve had places where the band saw and the drill press were vital. Putting on a leg vise with a wooden screw and the CrissCross 14 from Benchcrafted to support the lower part of the chop. Unfortunately, work came to a screeching halt yesterday when I broke the end of my thumb. Using all construction grade wood, as I couldn’t afford the hardwood for the top. Been fighting a twist the whole time. Legs and stretchers are almost done, then maybe I’ll get it up on its feet and get the upper surface finished. Really enjoying the videos. They’re helping me out a lot.

  39. James Hammond on February 22, 2022 at 11:43 pm

  43. Thomas Wagner on February 22, 2022 at 11:48 pm

I’ve watched lots of videos on building a workbench and this is by far the most straightforward video I’ve watched. The combination of practicality, simplicity, and elegance is what impressed me about this build. To top it off you have plans for multiple versions of this unit. When I viewed this video there were 4.7 million views – and for good reason. Well done!

  44. albert reed on February 22, 2022 at 11:51 pm

So, at the time of the build, what was the cost (TOTAL)? Really a great build and video.!

  45. Grover on February 22, 2022 at 11:51 pm

Well , for me this video was to long with all the slow motion artistic nonsense. Again for me, I was interested in the design of the workbench.

  46. George Valenzuela on February 22, 2022 at 11:51 pm

Best workbench I’ve seen on YouTube! Great job!
