TMC – The Future Is Metallic

TMC – The Future Is Metallic

A rapid injection of hundreds of millions of tons of key battery metals will be needed for the transition away from fossil fuels and towards clean energy. How we get these metals—and how we use them to build batteries—will have an enormous impact. We’re developing the capability to responsibly recover polymetallic nodules (which contain nickel, cobalt, copper, and manganese) with minimal disturbance. This short video highlights how we intend to collect, process and refine these remarkable rocks into critical battery metals.

Listen people, with animation this pretty showing vehicles and processing plants that DO NOT EXIST, it becomes quite evident this tech is not real. That’s why most investors are Individuals, not corporations like hedge funds and capitalist ventures.

Nodules?? This is NOT going to end well. Does no one remember the lesson of Janus IV?

"With cash in bank of 113 million at closing, we expect to fully fund our operations through Q3 of 2023. This is a sufficient level of cash to reach the key
milestones of submitting our application for an exploration contract to the ISA. We’ve already made significant progress to develop this unique resource,
and with cash in hand, we will be achieving the following milestones by the end of Q3, 2023."

So anyways, we need the universal human suit so the species can move in all climates out of dependency and into coordinated investing in order to stop causing debt.

Nice grift, just keep lying to folks with these slick little videos and you guys could be ruling the world. Just one problem, one day you guys are actually going to have to try and build your little dream and the whole house of cards is going to fall over, have fun explaining that to the investors.

This is assuming there are no sea creatures on the sea floor, no?

  21. Drei Deutsche Wörter on July 23, 2023 at 3:07 pm

No. Leave it alone. That great expanse of nothing is beautiful, and disturbing it changes it forever. The ability to determine the impacts of this project is hindered by the fact that we don’t actually know what is there.

Wasn’t nodule harvesting a CIA created BS story to fool the Russians into thinking USA was harvesting and not (the real purpose of the operation) bringing up a sunken soviet submarine from the bottom of the ocean in the 1970’s?

Implementing a "black box" rotary centrifuge near the seafloor could eliminate the need to pump up residual sediments with the nodules, by separating them near the bottom, in turn also eliminating the sediment plume released by the surface vessel, at least in theory.

The investment was entered at a price of 1.22. It is an investment. Thank you to those who sold me. You are really respectable and generous, an excellent company and a strong investment. See you above 150 dollars.

  33. AlliedBroom9081 gaming on July 23, 2023 at 3:19 pm

good ideas and all, but why not put most of the equipment used in the port side plant onto the processing vessel, in theory if you just use a cleaned and converted floating oil rig you could put the whole processing plant on the vessel and just have the shuttle vessel take back the finished product, granted wouldn’t be the best solution for recycling end of life ev batteries but in theory it centralizes your operation into one spot (other than when the processed battery metals leave the ship for port).

  38. NOS on July 23, 2023 at 3:31 pm

    Hydromet refining process?
What are you going to do with all that acid waste?
How are you going to keep the plant from dissolving around you like Goro and Muran Muran have?
The biggest mining companies in the world screwed up trying to do what you are proposing.

    What about all those tailings?
is there a nice lake to dump them in or maybe you thinks its a good idea to just let her rip into the sea?

Whats in the slag left over?
What you going to do with that?

Have you done any significant studies to understand what disturbing the sea bed will do?
Have you investigated what the fine sludge and materials suspended in the water column will do?
Have you considered what pumping water up form those depths will do to the different animals and food chains where you are mixing and disturbing the natural circulations of water and settling of material .
All of this is completely opposite to how nature slowly mixed water and nutrients and settle solids on the ocean floor.

Life moves slowly at the bottom of the ocean how many organism will be killed and how long will it take if ever for the natural biology of the sea floor return to normal?

I worked for INCO I know all about these crazy ideas.
We tried to build a ship of our own to do this in the 70s and realized this was just NUTS.
I am not fooled by your slick video, there are lots of questions that need a hard look at before you do this.

More renewable BS, mining these metals so more destructive than oil drilling. The pollution from these processes is horrific compared to oil. BUT we’re does the energy come from to charge these batteries? Wind and Solar are not reliable enough ( as we are seeing as the Europeans are running diesel generators at the wind farms to sustain their needs). This is all a grift a scam and a novelty. E vehicles need charging stations and they are few, and have limited range and take too long to charge to be productive in equipment and service units. We have plenty of oil, drill baby drill and stop drinking the koolaid.

  40. Ford Bbred on July 23, 2023 at 3:33 pm

What will happen when all the metal nodules are gone? You will always need more nodules because the population is always growing so you will need more cars therefore more batteries.

  41. Jordan Schoenenberger on July 23, 2023 at 3:34 pm

Won’t this disturb all the carbon and methane that is crystallized on the sea floor, leading to it being reintroduced to the atmosphere and further worsening runaway climate change?

  42. David Markus on July 23, 2023 at 3:35 pm

Given the nodules you’re taking provide crucial habitat for sea life to latch on to, I believe you should use the profits gained from your operations to lay down nodule size cobblestone from the mainland where you finished mining. They would eventually turn back into nodules, leaving no trace of your presence.

  43. Benjamin Zerr on July 23, 2023 at 3:35 pm

  44. Juan Monster on July 23, 2023 at 3:37 pm

Nodule metal concentrations on an individual basis ?

How many nodules exist in the region of exploration ?

How many modules needed to create one battery ?
