  6. Tim Purcell on November 16, 2023 at 10:30 pm

Love your best-of reviews! Thank you for mentioning that Precision and Accuracy are two different things at roughly 8 minutes. Getting the same measurement repeatedly doesn’t mean it is correct! And then there is Resolution: measuring and recording many digits doesn’t guarantee correctness.

  7. Terry Austin on November 16, 2023 at 10:31 pm

Wouldn’t need the calculator if you used the metric system like the rest of the world đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

  8. Moose on November 16, 2023 at 10:32 pm

Skil has become one of my favorite power tool brands in recent years, im really impressed with all of my skil tools which include table saw, router and table, hammer drill, jigsaw and a couple types of sanders.

  9. PaulK813 on November 16, 2023 at 10:32 pm

Quick note, you can make your own version of the infinity tool for pretty cheap with some needle roller bearings!

  10. E. A. on November 16, 2023 at 10:34 pm

Matt, thank you so much for bringing us these videos.

  11. Neil Jackson on November 16, 2023 at 10:35 pm

I love it when you say "cheap piece of crap"…..LOL!!

  12. 2down4up on November 16, 2023 at 10:35 pm

Ever since Chervon acquired Skil they’ve been really pumping out some awesome and even extremely ingenious products. In my opinion, they are an extremely underrated and under appreciated brand that has got some awesome tools at prices that are some times hard to believe.

  13. Bryan Martin on November 16, 2023 at 10:35 pm

I’m sure that a lot of these purchases are a write off since this is your job, but I’m thinking it’s about time for an intervention. You have a shopping problem.

  14. Mr. E Builds on November 16, 2023 at 10:36 pm

Keep up the good work Matt. You have a humble trustworthiness about you since you started this and it’s carrying over to however your channel evolves. Climbing up the ladder to success will always come with people trying to pull you down from the rungs below. Ignore them and keep moving up. You have a great following here with a lot of people who are cheering on your success. God bless brother.

  15. Theo FarmManager on November 16, 2023 at 10:37 pm

Another commentator was right – this is a shopping channel. The potential issue is that people think that these tools will make you a better woodworker. They don’t. No tool makes you a better woodworker – some tools make it a lot easier but your ability as a woodworker depends entirely upon you.

Skills start at product design; go through timber selection; timber preparation; cutting and refining; dry fit to final fit and finishing. You can acquire these skills only through practice; of course, a good school will help enormously but, for most people, that’s not affordable and so, YT presents itself.

But YT can be a real hindrance. There are people on YT (and I’ve been woodworking for over 45 years) who, frankly, show little skill apart from marketing themselves. There are also people whose work delights me and inspires me. Not that all their work is my style but style is personal, whilst skill is universal.

So. Don’t think buying any of these tools will instantly improve your work. Better spend the time watching people like Sawyer Design, Ramon Valdez, Pedulla Studio, EN Curtis, Foureyes (and several more on my subscription list). Then go out and make something: make something better than last time.

  16. Nathan Talbert on November 16, 2023 at 10:39 pm

I just commented the same thing on another video. I haven’t had any complaints about any of the wen products I have. I have and use the oscillating belt/spindle sander, drill press, and band saw. I also have the track saw and 660cfm rolling dust collector, but haven’t used them yet.

  17. Eric Summers on November 16, 2023 at 10:40 pm

Matt, I just felt compelled to tell you that God loves you, you’re doing great, and you need to trust Him. Stay strong, brother.

  18. Make Something on November 16, 2023 at 10:42 pm

It was pointed out to me that two woodworkers who look similar both released Amazon tools videos on the same day. haha!! ❀

  19. S.E. Wagger on November 16, 2023 at 10:45 pm

"Shure" mics have been the industry standard since the early 80s. (I’m still using the SM58 vocal mic!!!!!)😁

  20. 8heist on November 16, 2023 at 10:47 pm

When did you decide to just be a commercial?

  21. Eric Ball on November 16, 2023 at 10:49 pm

I was gonna comment earlier that your thumbnails are all the same, with the same expression. You must have read my mind.

  22. Al Amantea on November 16, 2023 at 10:52 pm

The construction master pro IS available as an app for both android and apple… Not a knock off, it’s the real thing. and way cheaper. I use it every single day.

  23. dna woodshop on November 16, 2023 at 10:52 pm

I am a woodworker and guitar player. What are you making at 10:31? Love your channel btw

  24. kalanikta on November 16, 2023 at 10:58 pm

You shouldn’t use the flat side of a router base to do straight line, you use the round sides. Any tilt on your flat side will change your distance, while the round side the distance remains the same.

  25. Robert Penn on November 16, 2023 at 10:59 pm

This channel is a tool peddling channel. Havent watched in awhile since I unsubscribed – literally every video is “top ten this”, “cheap tools that”, “best ways to upgrade this”.

Post something where you build something. You know, because you claim to be a woodworking channel.

  26. Eric Luba on November 16, 2023 at 11:00 pm

I bought that Bosch router kit a few years ago, absolutely love it.

  27. Russ Martin on November 16, 2023 at 11:00 pm

Matt, you’re not weird, just a different kind of normal.

  28. Rand Sipe on November 16, 2023 at 11:04 pm

These reviews usually suck, kudos to you, this is good stuff. For the most part. Default routers, yes. Bosch router, yes. Wen tools, yes. That little thing that locks the router arbor, yes. Wood peckers stuff? Nice but sooo expensive and too finite for normal woodworking. Who works in sub mm increments, really. Why pay that much to think you’re a machinist. I work in 16” + or -.

  29. Darren Herring on November 16, 2023 at 11:06 pm

No need for a calculator in the shop if you use the metric system.

  30. Kyle Balzanna on November 16, 2023 at 11:06 pm

Hey Matt, what is the dust hose attachment you have on the back of that Dewalt sander? I got a rockler universal hose kit but it doesnt fit on the natural fitting and your solution looks perfect for the problem I’m having.

  31. 25 mc 27 on November 16, 2023 at 11:08 pm

Why is made in the USA a good thing? You do realise that 96% of the worlds population is not USAian don’t you?

  32. THOMAS DUFF on November 16, 2023 at 11:08 pm

I have the Construction Master Pro and it is great . I also have their calculator on my phone which appears on screen just like the actual calculator. It is invaluable when you do not have the calculator available.

  33. Michael Rodriguez on November 16, 2023 at 11:09 pm

Every time you pop up on my feed it’s always with a “10 favorite/top tool” video. Will you eventually come out with a “top 10 of my top 200 clickbait tools” video?

  34. Bob Nicholas on November 16, 2023 at 11:10 pm

The Dewalt battery operated palm router is incredible!! I have used others this is the best!!

  35. leebo95 on November 16, 2023 at 11:10 pm

    Another enjoyable video

  36. Drone Blake on November 16, 2023 at 11:10 pm

Please stop saying the 60v tools not taking the 20v battery doesn’t make sense. 20≠60 it’s basically that easy. It would take like 10m of learning to find out some basic principles of electricity and that you’d need 3 20v batteries to be able to power it. It’s like complaining your 20v doesn’t run on 9v smoke alarm batteries

  37. Seth Jenkins on November 16, 2023 at 11:12 pm

Jeez that slide rule set is crazy expensive.

  38. MD on November 16, 2023 at 11:12 pm

Life would be so much easier if you converted to metric

  39. bobby3378 on November 16, 2023 at 11:12 pm

The construction calculator is available as an app for your phone which means you usually always have it with you and it can be updated as they improve features.

  40. christopher heinecke on November 16, 2023 at 11:14 pm

nice video i realy enjoy your stuff. my question is do you know Mirka sanders? i very rarely seen tham in US videos, but in my opinion they are the best sanders out there, even compared to festool etc but they are pricy even compared to festool^^

  41. BigRed RacingDog on November 16, 2023 at 11:15 pm

I have the venerable Bosch 1617 router. I bought it with the fixed base about 25 years ago, used it a couple times, then put it on the shelf. I found the round wooden handles unwieldy and the router never felt stable in my hands. I would never buy another router with round handles. Eventually I put the 1617 motor in my router table where it has stayed ever since.

  42. Mike M on November 16, 2023 at 11:16 pm

Router bit clamp looks useful. Why not just make one? Just needs a couple of uni-directional bearings- they do them on e-Bay.
‘You gotta add those fractions’ (6:21)- most of us (>95%) don’t. We use decimal. Why don’t you? All you need is rulers marked in tenths. (Inches or mm, your choice). Using three bases at once is bound to cause you problems.
Combination square- the magnetic types are so much faster/easier to use. No fiddling with clamps, or having to get the rule back in the slot. And you can flip the rule- four ways!

  43. The Bill Paying Hobbyists on November 16, 2023 at 11:16 pm

Thanks for the video. I bought the same Bosch router just before going back to work overseas. I will need to check out the DJI mics. Do what the big boys do…right?😉

  44. Scruffy Santa on November 16, 2023 at 11:17 pm

Nice list, I have a couple of those and have been very happy with them!

  45. DAN KENNEY on November 16, 2023 at 11:17 pm

RE: Construction Master Pro, pop the calculator out of the case and in the back you’ll find a full manual.

  46. Joshua Bray on November 16, 2023 at 11:18 pm

I second the comment on the Dewalt sander. I’ve had mine for probably 15 years. I’ve dropped it lots. It still works like new. Of course I prefer my festool sander (yes, I’m bragging), but that Dewalt is great quality.

  47. JeffRL1956 on November 16, 2023 at 11:22 pm

You do more wardrobe changes than a Janet Jackson concert. 🙂

  49. James D Martin on November 16, 2023 at 11:23 pm

My Wen Sander caught fire. With luck I as able to smell it burning from kitchen. Wen took 6 months to replace. Little sawdust in sander.

  50. Character Red Workshop on November 16, 2023 at 11:24 pm

Absolutely love that Bosch router. Definitely share your opinions. Have you had a chance to test the new Milwaukee M18 router?
