Two years ago, I picked up a 1970s Craftsman 10" radial arm saw at a thrift store for $50. The power cord insulation jacket was dry rotted and cracked but that was easily replaced for $10. It even came with 3 blades. I was rehabbing my house at the time and it came in very handy.

  4. Trolling 4 Dollars on August 17, 2022 at 12:06 am

    I bought a 3 phase, 16" blade with a 54" fence for $500 at a pawn shop. When I left that business, I sold it for $600

I have a scroll saw for sale like that for super cheap

  14. Homer Simpson on August 17, 2022 at 12:12 am

I would say that most of those table saws that are 220 Volts can be rewired for 110.

  15. Paul Kline on August 17, 2022 at 12:13 am

That was a good selection of tools.

  16. Alex C on August 17, 2022 at 12:14 am

Buying used is the only way to go. Even mowers now adays. A decent rider is over $1000 new. Hop on cl or marketplace and find an old craftsman or mtd for $200-300. Screaming deal

  17. Sgt Joe Smith on August 17, 2022 at 12:14 am

Are you going to make a video about the new harbor freight 12 tools of christmas? Wasn’t clear on whether or not you can use multiple coupons, or if you can only get one of those tools at $5.

  19. Big D on August 17, 2022 at 12:16 am

Can’t forget pawnshops and yard sales! Not online, but you can get some hellafied deals when you’re lucky!!!

ive been throwing my dadsstuff out because im too old and nobody does this anymore and my kids dont have any interest in it

  27. technosaurus on August 17, 2022 at 12:24 am

Don’t forget to misspell your search terms several ways.
Craigslist’s search isn’t a smart search. For instance a search for jig and saw will return results for jig saw, jig-saw, jigsaw and a missed connection for some dude they saw doing a jig.

  28. Piledriver on August 17, 2022 at 12:26 am

Shop smith…… I just need the head😂 come on bear

  29. Sgt Joe Smith on August 17, 2022 at 12:27 am

I got a shop crane. I usually just use the bucket on my Kubota though. Or 1 time when I was hanging up heavy ass air hose reel in mower shop i screwed pulley to the ceiling, ran a rope through it. Tied 1 end to reel and other to ztr mower front and slowly backed up to raise it 15 feet up so I could slide it into mounting bracket while on ladder. But those shop cranes come in handy too. I’ve thought about mounting 1 on truck bed.

Jointer find …give to bud …payed $5 old craft with wood stand n motor working

  34. The Teenage Engineer on August 17, 2022 at 12:38 am

Ok 220 volt equipment is cheap. But how the hell do you re wire a 440 volt mill that is in your grandfathers shop to work on 110! The simple answer is you can’t but you can build a converter like he did because his shop is at his house all you need is a big 220 volt motor that turns another motor and bam you have got 440 volts.

  35. M W S on August 17, 2022 at 12:40 am

I know where you got that logo for "The Five" Greg Gutfeld is hilarious. Have you ever tried the Worx switchdriver?

  36. Scooter George on August 17, 2022 at 12:40 am

The 220 V. mentioned here; is that the same as household electric ranges, electric furnaces, driers? So for running it in a garage would be the same as having an electrician running a couple of drier circuits and outlets to the garage/shop?

  37. Geoffrey Opulski on August 17, 2022 at 12:41 am

hey red check out Richards multi form saw, the one i got has a drill press on it, I got that beast for $100 some guy was going to scrap it,

Looking for a 2 ton engine hoist

  39. The World According To Floyd on August 17, 2022 at 12:44 am

Don’t forget radial arm saw. I just bough a 10 inch for $55

  40. Robert White on August 17, 2022 at 12:45 am

The best deals out there are going to need 3 phase power. So if you have or know of inexpensive vfds then it is worth it. I found an old lathe that new would cost a few grand for 200 bucks because it’s 3 phase.

  41. Monte Glover on August 17, 2022 at 12:47 am

    Three things
the motors for the newer Unisaws are pricey and the older (1750 rpm) are not readily available.
The cutters for shapers are pricey.
Static 3 phase converters are fairly reasonable, but you lose 1/3 of your hp (a 1½ becomes 1) used converters can often be found. So don’t rule out 3 phase equipment
Most of my woodworking tools were answered used

  42. Will on August 17, 2022 at 12:50 am

I can normally find 14 inch bandsaws on craigslist for cheap in my area and flip them for a couple hundred bucks profit. Been doing it a couple years and its been good enough to call it a side buisness!!

  43. Daren Fitzpatrick on August 17, 2022 at 12:51 am

I bought a great rockwell delta 24" scrollsaw for a great price several years ago on CL and it is a great machine. Solid and I love it.

  44. Gary Gotori on August 17, 2022 at 12:52 am

PB blaster is my favorite rust seized fix

  45. Chuck Small on August 17, 2022 at 12:55 am

Before you buy a Ship Smith. Parts for some older models are not available. A lot of people get rid of them because they can no longer be repaired. A few years ago I had 8 older cast iron Craftsman table saws for a total cast output of $207.00 Sold two of them and gave two away to a friend. I live in the Northwest and there is lots of good deals around here.

  46. Fort Sawdust on August 17, 2022 at 12:55 am

  48. Billy Blaze on August 17, 2022 at 12:59 am

I wish I had thought about that when I was installing the riser block on my 14in 300lb bandsaw, I was balancing the head on my shoulder trying to align the block, head, and base and put the nut n bolt together to hold it all in place lol That was a chore.

  49. Dean Thomas on August 17, 2022 at 1:02 am

I’m embarrassed that you took video of my workbench for your lead-in… Good video and good thoughts.
