Great video thanks for sharing your insight! You touched on the importance of liability insurance for the kids item but also important to have for the stove top covers. Even though it would be a user issue if someone put it on/over hot burners or turned on while the cover was one, the lawyers these days will take a shot at the maker of the cover. My wife is in the legal field and this is one of the reasons I have stayed away from doing these…I want to, she is skeptical. Thanks again!

Nice video. I was warned by my insurance company about not making child specific items. Too many lawsuits. My policy does not cover those suits.

This video was so good. With so many similar channels recommending the same projects I think this was strategic, smart and educational. Well done!

How is it possibly to pack so much value into one short little video!? Incredible work as always!

This editor needs a raise! This guy is fantastic!

  6. Bryan M on June 11, 2023 at 1:04 pm

Every time I post a stove cover to a woodworking forum/group/subreddit: "yOu’LL bUrN yOuR hOuSe dOwN" Okay thanks. Somehow I’ve remembered not to put a fork in an electrical socket, I promise not to put a stove cover on a lit stove.

Great stuff Boss, love the vid’s take care.

  9. Lucas Hickey on June 11, 2023 at 1:12 pm

Those are great for people that already have a cnc but not everyone can afford one especially most 22 yr olds. Most of these projects can’t be done on a large scale without a cnc

  10. GREMIC on June 11, 2023 at 1:12 pm

Thanks you for the advice. First time I’ve seen the hook drinking game idea.

Awesome video brother! This is what I’ve been looking for. It’s not just what can I make but how can I scale this? I love the future business minded thinking! Keep up the great videos!

Very interesting journey to wood work business development

  18. Pyro Man on June 11, 2023 at 1:24 pm

I’d never get a stove top cover. One thing people never think about is where you’re going to park that monstrosity when you’re using the stove. Also, over time it will start to look pretty tough – jammed in the space between the stove and the cabinet (maybe, if it fits), around a lot of cooking that involves grease and other spatters, around hot surfaces.

  19. Ray B on June 11, 2023 at 1:25 pm

Wonder is he’ll ever show an actual video of where he MAKES something.

  20. 731 Woodworks on June 11, 2023 at 1:28 pm

0:16 ouch. I did really well with my projects that sold including my stove covers which you featured in your video as well. Easily making over $30k per year as a side hustle with them. Guess it depends on the market. I like your ideas as well.

  21. Carson Kaylor on June 11, 2023 at 1:29 pm

Good stuff man. Question: how did you get those perfect rounded corners in your giant letter? Not an easy feat.

  22. Barrio Woodworks on June 11, 2023 at 1:30 pm

    Excellent video!

  23. ESCAPE! on June 11, 2023 at 1:32 pm

Created and developed by Maria Montessori: ”Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the highly trained teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.”

  24. Don’t Fit on June 11, 2023 at 1:32 pm

Montessori is a way of educating children. Different then the typical government indoctrination system.

  25. Troy Mcclellan on June 11, 2023 at 1:33 pm

Can you touch more on liability insurance in your next video where it pertains to us making a product and selling it? Thanks and love your latest videos (welcome back)! Keep them coming! I would also engage more with your audience on future topics.

  26. Food Splendor on June 11, 2023 at 1:34 pm

Nice video. Thanks for the tips. You got a sub.

  27. RMK on June 11, 2023 at 1:35 pm

I just bought a used onefinity. And when I booted it up for the first time there was a really cool plaque designed for a specific officer programmed onto it. Guess that guy knew his stuff ha ha.

  28. Wendy Johnson on June 11, 2023 at 1:36 pm

Great tips in here, especially related to renting out wedding items. Great idea! (now…I just need to figure out how to make those letters with my miter saw….lol). Thanks for all the great inspiration. Now…just one thing: There are tons of female cops and firefighters out there. (You referred to them as "he.") Just a reminder that about half of the world’s population is female. 🙂

  29. 1:9 Woodworks on June 11, 2023 at 1:37 pm

Thank you for sharing! Big letter project would requiere a whole lot of space and investments for the storage tho. And I feel like one would be moving from woodworking to decor business instead.
But what I take from this is to think outside the box! There are way more opportunities out there than we think! 💪🏽

  30. Carter Fridd on June 11, 2023 at 1:37 pm

    thanks

  31. Imran Sadiq on June 11, 2023 at 1:38 pm

Thanks for the great vid. Awesome content as always. Please make a video on advise for growing a commercial business. I am in a commercial space and investing into 3 phase machines. But I need some guidance on how to grow my business. Thank you very much. (My main issue is that my projects take too long to complete)

  32. Что делает Макс on June 11, 2023 at 1:39 pm

We have very popular children’s chairs with height adjustment. Children’s growing chair. This also applies to Montessori. But there are a lot of manufacturers. Very big competition. I made some chairs and sold them in one week when I was in another country with little wood.

  33. ESCAPE! on June 11, 2023 at 1:40 pm

7:50 – 8:00 ….. I hope you’re joking! US cops took their vest, gun and teaser home after work?! This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so sad and scary!

  34. Angie Williams on June 11, 2023 at 1:40 pm

Great video. I enjoy watching videos about “what sells” because a lot of times they are simple projects and use up scraps. But this video was different. I like to make too many things. So I like the idea of picking a niche market. This video for me was more about planning things better. Thanks for sharing.

  35. Len Conrad on June 11, 2023 at 1:41 pm

A friend and a couple of our lady friends open it toy store.

Being adults and somewhat ecologically-minded they chose a lot of toys and natural wood

Undo a certain age,Kids are attracted to colors and don’t give an FF about ecology or natural wood

    Great video!

  38. Aaron VanDriel on June 11, 2023 at 1:50 pm

This channel needs to blow up! YouTube has so many variations on this video idea, but this is the first I’ve seen with suggestions for paths of how to scale each product! Way too many "top 5 projects that sell" videos where a YouTuber with no underlying large production business lists 5 products that don’t sell/aren’t scalable.

  39. Mike Foreman on June 11, 2023 at 1:51 pm

just another YouTube influence r bashing others to try and make his channel relevant,.

  40. Wrong Time Watch on June 11, 2023 at 1:53 pm

Thanks for sharing. I need some project ideas for my newly purchased used CNC router.

  41. netltube on June 11, 2023 at 1:54 pm

Some good ideas here, like your < 10m format, to the point without lot of BS
