    What are you doing?
    Get rid of that thing.

Is there literally no other young new woodworks in need of a table saw in your state?

Someone on Craigslist will pick it up in a day.

  3. Craig Dewar on October 15, 2022 at 3:29 am

Why have 2 saws, why not. Looks great how you have set them up.

  4. tanner9072 on October 15, 2022 at 3:31 am

It would make sense to have the power matic set up with a commonly used dado stack to save time during cabinet-making

  5. Jason on October 15, 2022 at 3:33 am

    Awesome!

  6. Robin Lewis Makes on October 15, 2022 at 3:33 am

2 of most machines would be really helpful, this is going to be such a pleasure to work with! Wish I’d added a finish on my MDF workbench; 2 years on and it’s absorbed everything you can imagine, looks awful.

  7. Thomas Tieffenbacher/DocSavage45 on October 15, 2022 at 3:34 am

    Nice work Jon!

  8. Myles Thomson on October 15, 2022 at 3:35 am

Looking good. Boys at Greene St would be proud!

  9. iwasdropped on October 15, 2022 at 3:39 am

Why do you need two saws? Uh, because its awesome?

  10. Denis 231 on October 15, 2022 at 3:39 am

Beware of the Howarth / Wandel effect… The more, the merrier 😉. Nice addition to the shop, thanks for sharing

Thanks for sharing. I have two table saws too right now and I’m having a hard time selling one because I don’t want to let it go, but I do need the room. Maybe I just need a bigger garage?

Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing your mobile base for your thickness planer.

    Very nice Jon.

  14. dwoodog on October 15, 2022 at 3:43 am

Doesn’t matter what one owns, if someone has to ask why do you need two??? They just don’t get it.

  15. Gerry McIntosh on October 15, 2022 at 3:43 am

Holy cow! I need a second table saw honey!!!! Jon Peters did… and if Jon jumps off the bridge…

Congrats. I’ve been watching your channel about five years now . It’s always been top notch and always seems to get better.

Man that is awesome. If I had that set up I could set down so much stuff on them.

  20. Andrew Brown on October 15, 2022 at 3:50 am

Great video, Jon~! I was hoping that you’d do this one after seeing the SawStop unboxing video. I’m in the same situation…after buying my SawStop, I didn’t want to let go of my old Craftsman contractor saw. It still has some good miles on it after 30 years. I originally saw Frank Howarth’s setup and have been wanting to replicate it ever since. I picked up some good tips from you on how to execute it. Thanks for sharing~!!

  21. Bear Creek Woodworking on October 15, 2022 at 3:52 am

I like the two table saw idea! I have never seen this before.

  22. Arthur Chenoweth on October 15, 2022 at 3:55 am

    I have a Laguna 12” facing offset a 10” General.

  23. Robert Price on October 15, 2022 at 3:55 am

My father had two saws in his shop. He left one set up with a dado stack. It was a big time saver.

  24. cms123tube on October 15, 2022 at 3:57 am

Glad to have found your channel. I just wonder if your table saw safety factor went down by keeping the powermatic ? Maybe I am missing something based on the cuts you plan to do on the powermatic. I am starting into woodworking much later in life than you did and got the identical Sawstop model you have …. as you said – It was a no-brainer …. and I also treat it like it "doesn’t" have a safety feature. I wish you well in your woodworking endeavors.

  25. Filipe Medeiros on October 15, 2022 at 3:57 am

What exactly was that finish on top? I see that it’s mohawk, but what is it, a poly?

  26. Brian Hinton on October 15, 2022 at 3:58 am

Great job Jon, Stay Safe Mate !!!.

  27. Bruce Martin on October 15, 2022 at 3:58 am

Just curious…how do the miter slots compare, i.e. do you sleds fit both saws?

  28. Thomas Kirkpatrick on October 15, 2022 at 3:58 am

2 saws is a great idea. If you do any kind of woodworking, sometimes you have complicated set ups, jigs or fixtures. How great to be able to have a saw dedicated for a Dado set up.

  29. paulpaul1948 on October 15, 2022 at 3:59 am

Now i see why you didn’t get the mobile base for your Saw Stop. Method to your madness!

  30. PrOleem on October 15, 2022 at 3:59 am

Feels like such a simple thing but the impact was really impressive.
Why have two table saws? Kinda like why have two drills.
One for drilling the other for screwing. Just makes life easier and transition smoother.

  31. David Meyer on October 15, 2022 at 3:59 am

Thanks for sharing! I am looking forward to see the shop furniture you are going to make. Thanks Jon

  32. Alex Gordon on October 15, 2022 at 3:59 am

I’d like to see the video on that sled you’re using.

  33. Donnie Gaskill on October 15, 2022 at 3:59 am

Great setup, Jon…Who has 2 table saws? Well, why not?? No sense of not using one!!! I have 3 table saws..1 old ’70’s rockwell and 2 small travel saws that I used away from the shop. Keep us the good vids and hope to see some new and unusual projects in 2021!!!!

  34. bfjb70 on October 15, 2022 at 4:01 am

I would think a table height working surface like that would be a huge convenience anyway, for any number of uses. And the added bonus of a second saw would be a cherry on top. My saw is hilarious, I’m so jelly.

  35. Jack Tyler on October 15, 2022 at 4:02 am

It looks just great, Jon. Congratulations on all the fine improvements you’ve been able to add to your shop. You deserve to feel quite proud about such foresight and execution.

  37. Lupe Galvan on October 15, 2022 at 4:03 am

Great Videos. I’m an artist and am looking for a table saw that I can use to cut wood to build panels for painting. I’m not a wood worker just need something that can do up to 3/4” play wood. Suggestions? Thanks

  38. Geralt of Rivia on October 15, 2022 at 4:06 am

It’s really the ultimate woodworking shop set up, two great table saws working back to back, greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭

  39. Michael Peters on October 15, 2022 at 4:08 am

Great video dad, always on the grind

  40. jim gilreath on October 15, 2022 at 4:09 am

I bought a second table saw when my main saw was down for 6 weeks. I’m glad I did. Nice having dado set up and not having to switch blades back and forth

  41. Robert Carullo on October 15, 2022 at 4:11 am

love the two saws. where would you buy these type of table saws?

  42. Michael Carter on October 15, 2022 at 4:12 am

Favorite part is when you tipped over the can of mohawk and applied it with a roller. 💪

  43. Kevin Tanner on October 15, 2022 at 4:12 am

What a huge table work/assembly area when needed too.

  44. Heavyboxes DIY Master on October 15, 2022 at 4:14 am

I made sure to get two saws facing each other when I started to setup my shop and I’m really happy you did the same thing. I use one for cutting solid lumber and the other larger-clearance saw for sheet goods. It’s great.

  45. Hengry 1994 on October 15, 2022 at 4:15 am

Cant wait for the day that I will bridge two top quality t saws like this.

  48. Pharaoh Acura on October 15, 2022 at 4:16 am

I just purchased a new table saw and you have given me reason to keep my old table saw…lol…thanks

  49. Big Mike is talking on October 15, 2022 at 4:19 am

    Looks awesome.
It will be handy to keep one with the sled in position. However time will tell how often it will interfere when you are ripping a piece of wood on the other saw. If you are ripping lumber you should be fine. When you start ripping plywood you will probably have to remove it.
I can see one being set up with a 3/4" dado………..that would be very handy.
I think you need 3 table saws!!!!!

  50. Gerald Roth on October 15, 2022 at 4:20 am

I too got a second table saw. I like the way you joined yours together. Thanks for sharing.
