I hope that i can buy this soon , very nice, ❤️

I’ve been looking for my first table saw, and I have decided this is the one,I plan on purchasing next week. I have room in my shop for a full sized saw, but I like that this saw is portable, I can always build a bench for it when I use it in the shop, then if I need it closer to the house for a project I have that option too.

  4. David Crandell on February 28, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Bought one about a year ago. real value for money. Great saw and tough as. I cut slabs of red gum which is an Aust hardwood. This saw handles it with ease.

  5. Jimmy Dickson on February 28, 2022 at 11:39 pm

It’s a good saw ,please don’t put tools an you back seat ,if you are in an accident and you vehicle rolls ,where do you think the saw will go ,

  6. MrBenzboy11 on February 28, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Got for my self and I really like it. I believe they have 10" blade compact table saw same dimension as this one .

  7. Golf4u Backnine on February 28, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Thanks for the review, considering pick one up . Only concern I hear is the mitre gauge slightly loose in its slide ?
    Thanks again !

  8. Mike Brown on February 28, 2022 at 11:39 pm

I use exact saw on a daily basis and love it. I do wish it would accept a dado stack. I really have no issues with it at all. I am building an entire set of kitchen cabinets with it and was able to rip full 4 by 8 sheets with adequate catch table behind it. It’s not a cabinet maker saw for its small size and decent price it’s a real Workhorse.

  9. Alex Knight on February 28, 2022 at 11:40 pm

Just bought my first house so of course I needed to buy a table saw to do reno and went with this model and love it. Your review only reaffirms my pick! It’s super portable and incredibly smooth. The rack and pinion fence is a must have. If anyone wants to pick one up, it’s on sale for $299 at the Orange Box Store as of October 2021!

  10. Tim List on February 28, 2022 at 11:42 pm

How available are the blades for this unit? 8-1/4 seems rather odd.

  11. madscientist06 on February 28, 2022 at 11:46 pm

    Thanks for this. Thumbs up!

  12. CGF on February 28, 2022 at 11:48 pm

Never have I seen the underside of a table saw in a review! Thumbs up just for that. lol! 👍 But seriously, great review … the only thing i would have liked to see was the install of the riving knife in detail. Wanted to see if it was a quick release or if i have to break out a tool to do it.

  13. Chad Heroman on February 28, 2022 at 11:48 pm

The blade guard dust port looks like the hose would get in the way of the push through

    Great review !!!
I just purchased one the other day (here in Australia)…….I have upgraded from my "lame" Ozito" table saw….lol
I can’t wait to familiarise myself with it.

  16. PastBlast on February 28, 2022 at 11:55 pm

Great review. I am considering replacing my old 1951 cast iron craftsman. I am still not sure if I can live with out ability to install a dado set. I wonder if it would take just the two outside blades of a dado set? that would add up to 1/4" I think. Probably just fine for as often as I need to cut one. What do you think?

  17. Joe P on February 28, 2022 at 11:58 pm

Thanks this video was extremely helpful
I was looking at potentially buying a ryobi but didn’t like the reviews on the fencing
Dewalt is a much better product and confident saws abilities and other comments people have mentioned
8.25 should be fine compared to 10” for my projects and it’s compact and portable
    Cheers 🍻

  18. Bill Dodson on March 1, 2022 at 12:01 am

great run-thru – thank you. Although I still don’t fully understand the fence. It seems like there’s more to the story

  19. Michael Newell on March 1, 2022 at 12:02 am

nice clear demonstration of the dust collection!

  20. Brett Miller on March 1, 2022 at 12:03 am

Good review I just purchased one and does everything I need it to do. I did also get the stand for it will use this I place of my older 10 inch now

  21. Julio Ortega on March 1, 2022 at 12:03 am

It does run dado blade made by DeWalt special for this saw

  22. Wilem35 on March 1, 2022 at 12:05 am

Bought one last week to rip cedar fence boards, works great!

  25. G K on March 1, 2022 at 12:07 am

Great review , just purchased one on sale $299.00 I’m going to try blocking off the top dust collection and running just the lower collection port should work fine.

  26. Scott Sena on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

You know? There are a few truly decent 8 1/4 inch job site saws out there at this point but? Dewalt fairly much set the bar for everyone else to emulate in job site saws in general, and even though I run a full size job site saw, it is not ‘one hand’ portable and the smoothness and rpm of cut is an important aspect of these saws (especially for trim work).
My world of finish work dictates that this saw is better than a 10 inch version with only one real caveat (smaller table top dimension). However I have the simplest of in-feed and out-feed solutions in place that have made this a non-issue with all setups. (All you have to do is McGuyver a bit with what you probably already have in place on site.)
Even though I don’t yet own this saw, I have used them and the deciding factors for purchasing it soon is three fold. Proven fence system, fair pricing, smooth torque (rather than immediate aggressive torque that chips laminate hard surfaces….flooring, MDF White Board etc.). Plus? I have never heard anyone have much to say that disparages this family of Dewalt saw on the whole.

  27. T Jones on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

    I like the portability!

  28. Ivan Nightingale on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

Thanks for another great review. 👍🏾

  29. That Knife Guy on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

I currently have this saw, it cuts really well but for taller cuts I am not a fan of flipping the wood to make it all the way through. I honestly don’t know if the 10 inch one would be any better then this. I have limited space at my house and use it for wood working projects not at job sites. Do you recommend the 10 inch version or should I keep this one

  30. Me Last name on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

Do you know if there’s a difference in the infeed space between the table edge and the blade, between this saw and the bigger 7491?

  31. pepeibz21 on March 1, 2022 at 12:08 am

Thank you! good review. Regards from spain.

  32. Juan Mendoza on March 1, 2022 at 12:12 am

Hi Mark…Great video..Question? Can this saw cut hard woods?

  33. Wolfman Dan on March 1, 2022 at 12:14 am

    Why won’t it run dados?

  34. Frank Drabik on March 1, 2022 at 12:15 am

    It is great.

  35. dwarden3 on March 1, 2022 at 12:17 am

I have this and it’s great!

  36. The Birdlab on March 1, 2022 at 12:18 am

Glad to see that you use the blade guard and anti-kickback features. Lots of YouTubers feel the need to disengage the safety components. Thanks for the great product review.

  37. MADONE 89 on March 1, 2022 at 12:18 am

Mark, I am DIYer and have a 12-20 shed and looking for a small compact table saw for projects so what would be a good pick. I am looking at Dewalt 400 and under? I like the battery option so I can go mobile any thoughts?

  38. acrorrusd on March 1, 2022 at 12:19 am

I am a cabinet installer by trade and have used all kinds of 10" table saws over the 28 years I have been doing this. In the past few years, I have switched into a management role and only do minor service now. Not to mention I drive a Ford Transit Connect and there isn’t a lot of room for a full-size table saw with a stand. This saw is perfect for everything I do. I am glad Dewalt came out with this as it is a great saw with a lot features, as you pointed out.

  41. Steven Acuff on March 1, 2022 at 12:22 am

I just bought this saw for me for Christmas and since it’s my first table saw I just learned a bunch. Thanks good review.

  42. D G Roberts on March 1, 2022 at 12:23 am

Love this unit. My only complaint was with the packaging. When you set the box down, upright, and open the box you’re left wondering how to get it out. The aluminum bar facing up is too flimsy to pull so I flipped it over and slid the box off. Now you can access the instructions that tell you how to get it out of the box. Odd thing is that the box would have to be upside down to grab the handle as instructed. Pretty small issue but I never understood why manufacturers put unboxing instructions in the box, hidden from view.

  43. Gar Hop on March 1, 2022 at 12:23 am

Can you get a good 8.25” dedicated cross cut blade for it, 60T or better?

  44. Ben on March 1, 2022 at 12:23 am

Great review, thank you. This is exactly what I needed to know. I’ll be picking one up today.

  45. Scott Bullock on March 1, 2022 at 12:23 am

I know a man who juggles chain saws whilst they are running. Do you think he could juggle 2 of these or would that be an issue ?

  46. Yohanathan Downs on March 1, 2022 at 12:24 am

I own this and bought it because of how much I liked my brother’s 10". Couple of differences in the 2 but overall quality of saws and cuts are top notch.

  47. Jeff C on March 1, 2022 at 12:25 am

I’m fairly new to woodworking and decided I need a table saw. I just can’t figure out if I should get this or slurge for the 10" that accommodates dado blades. To be honest, I don’t even know if I’d use them, but at lease I’d have the option. The 10" is currently $230 more, so that’s not pocket change.

  48. Scott Dezieck on March 1, 2022 at 12:26 am

Just picked up the 10 inch DeWalt and DWE7491RS for $529 onsale ….like having a larger rip cut and that it comes with a stand that if sold separately is $170 so saw comes out to $360. Basically same saw if you don’t use the stand in weight. Feels about the same weight as my Ridgid portable job site if not on the stand. I do love the compact size of the 8 1/2 inch. Either way great saws. I think the cordless job site DeWalt would be my next choice. Thank you for your video. Helped me figure out where the blade guard gets stored.

  49. Moose knuckle Garage on March 1, 2022 at 12:28 am

That flip over part on the fence is also for making very small cuts
