• heat stress, heat stroke, and fatigue from hot working conditions
• slips, trips, and falls
• joint, muscle sprains and strains
• physical injuries from machinery and equipment e.g. by entanglement or crushing
• health effects from machinery and equipment e.g. caused by vibration and noise.

He did the right think by reversing the forklift but then drove back into the molten metal, big mistake, his protective clothing and distance back from the splashing metal would have given him some protection, hope he is ok now.

You CANNOT have any moisture in the junk you’re throwing into a smelter.

If I ever need to buy a forklift, I will buy this brand.

  45. Matt Pressley on January 14, 2023 at 3:26 am

That’s the place I worked at in maintenance. I was there that day and he was ok and no one else hurt. Working around smelters is and was a dangerous job.

  47. Patrick B on January 14, 2023 at 3:28 am

If that forklift has a propane tank on the back of it, then that’s a flammable problem
