I always enjoy your videos, Walter. I was wondering about scraping the surface instead of either planing or sanding, because I have a Lie Nielsen no.62 with a 90 degree blade designed for scraping. So far, I haven’t tried using it for scraping ply, but it has worked well on other timbers. I would be interested on hearing your vies, or the views of others. Keep up the excellent videos, please.
Lots of good information, as usual, Walter. Thanks.
Is there any possibility of planing lower quality plywood to make it look more presentable? Or at least knocking off some of the rough surface to make it look better under paint? I’ve considered using cheap plywood for some low budget items, but haven’t tried yet because I decided the plywood wouldn’t look great, even under paint.
What about scraping plywood
Aye!!! you’re awesome and I loved your video! Funny chap! Love from India!!!
Dusty Splinters think possible plane a thick peace of that Birch plywood remove layers get it thinner build a acoustic guitar?
From my own experience, I know that one has to sharpen the blades more often when working with plywood.
Why does this happen? Glue is a liquid being more fluid than wood!
Another great video Walter thanks. BTW looking at your hands one can tell that they have seen years of honest work
For some time now, I have come here with a lot of interest.
Your videos are very interesting.
Very good.
Thank you for the informations.
Thanks!
